The Bane of horse and deer flies!
VERY sticky stuff! Flies hate it, apply this tape to an old ball cap and wear it where deer flies are pestering you and you will load up on them quickly... they seem determined to make their initial strikes on a persons head for some reason.

Disappointing so far
Big green horse/deer flies still biting the horse and not getting caught on the patch. Have tried riding with one on my cap and one on the bridle. Only thing caught so far was a couple of houseflies. Pretty tough to keep out of the mane as well. Can only see this going on horse halter or bridle if they have a plaited or short-trim mane. Disappointed. Would do a lot to avoid the bites while riding!

dont work
Not one deer fly landed on the strips. We had them on six horses and six helmets and while the horses mane stuck the flies laned everywhere but there. Better off just carrying a towel and swinging them away

A summer blessing for those of us without an indoor
Indoor arenas not only protect you from the rain and snow, but visual hunters like deer flies as well! Deer flies are the noisy, yellowish forest flies that are shaped like fighter jets (triangular). They circle your or your horse’s head and often land on and bite their ears. These sticky patches worked GREAT. We caught several flies each ride, though you really need to apply the patch each time because the bridle becomes tricky to handle afterwards. Make sure you have clipped your horse’s bridlepath too!For what it’s worth, the backing on this is pretty much duck tape, so you might want to vetwrap your crown so the adhesive doesn’t damage the leather.

Doesn’t work as shown
This product could work, in theory, but it also ruins any material it’s sticking to. I have not caught one deer fly yet with it either.

Works
I buy these for my wife. When she wears her hat she has never been bitten and shes very allergic to horse and deer flies.

This product does not work as advertised. Would not recommend it.
This product did not work at all for me. Put it on my horses Bridle just like it said and it caught zero deer flies in a very heavily infested area.
