I used this product as a gasket for my clothes dryer between the lint screen compartment and exhaust duct, It seemed to seal properly and didn't catch fire on the first couple uses. The tape held in place as I slid one cylindrical pipe onto the other. I don't think it's heavy duty enough to use on my primo xl smoker/grill though. The backing was very difficult to peel off to expose the tape. I had to use an exacto knife on it.

This felt works GREAT to seal your smoker. I have done at least 10 grillings at 500 degrees and several smokes at 225 since installing this seal and there are no signs of it trying to come off, its still soft and seals great. I get no smoke leaking out around the door anymore. Also sealed the pellet hopper door and now there is no more clang when closing and i think it may help to keep out some moisture.Something to note for best results, after installing the seal try to wait about 24 hours before you use the grill and then heat to a low temp such as 200 for about 30 min and then increase in increments to set the glue.I would definitely recommend this for use on grills and smokers.
