Waited 8 months to post this review = TRUTH
I purchased this product on February 15th of this year (2017) NOT for my toddler but for my toddler-like cat. Ever since I adopted Jinxy at 5 months old he has been mischievous (which is just a nicer way of saying naughty) and learned very quickly how to open unlocked doors. I had initially purchase "BabyKeeps" brand child proof locks for my bathroom/kitchen cabinets. When I got a new wardrobe, I decided to buy the "Carefree Mommy" brand because 1) it was "not as ugly" 2) it opened on both sides (which I liked) and 3) it was slightly cheaper than the BabyKeeps brand.*I usually don't post reviews unless the product is really good or really bad. This falls under the category of REALLY BAD. After 8 months of using it on a DAILY BASIS (since I need to get my clothes in/out of the wardrobe) this lock has worn out. Jinxy can easily pop open my wardrobe with ONE PAW.*I think the design is OK but they use poor quality plastic. Carefree Mommy locks have a latch that is like a lid you pop on and off. Unfortunately THE EDGES (that keep the 'lid' in place) have worn down after ONLY EIGHT MONTHS. The BabyKeeps child proof locks (which have been on my bathroom/kitchen cabinets since March 2016 = 11 months longer = 19 months total) is still going strong. The BabyKeeps locks use a harder plastic and their internal mechanism is more like a "hook lock" (there is also a slight learning curve to the installation. I ruined two locks before I figured it out).*If you're debating which one to buy - I would say pass on this one and go with the BabyKeeps brand.

I cleaned the surfaces and let the sticky sit for over 24 hours (as indicated) but about half of what was delivered came off with my 1 year old pulling lightly. The other half are still holding (a week later).

Not worth your money
My husband bought these to keep our dogs from out of the trash can. The sticky side that is suppose to secure it was not strong at all. The product would just fall off of the trash can with out any tension on the latch. Also, the length is not long at all.

Inconsistent stickiness. Some would stick at all, others were bonded life concrete. Lock it self is very week. A good tug by a 14 month old and they snapped open.

Used these to lock our garbage with a nosey dog in the house. It worked in him. Wouldn't recommended as child locks though. Within a few tries our daughter was opening and closing them herself.

Doesn't stick
These are a joke, I cleaned cabinetry with alcohol before applying and 2 days later they came off

Three Stars
Good quality but my 18 month old son figured out how to open the locks in a week.
