Don't buy this for a gift.
When I received the product it looked fine. So I wrapped it and gave as a gift. It wasn't sealed correctly and got all over the box. So I don't recommend getting this for a gift.

Would have loved it if delivered sealed
I had a bad feeling when the box containing this one came half ripped.Alas, the content was leaked even through the bubble wrap.As suspected, the seal was broken and the lid was slightly opened, leaking sticky content to bubble wrap. Glad it was at least packed inside the bubble pouch, because otherwise it would have leaked all over the inside box.Still, I was really disappointed because Korean Citron Tea (especially with Pear) is a great way to deal with sore throats and boost the immune system against catching a cold (or even after catching it). Chung Jung one is one of the most reputable food companies in South Korea, and they really need to work on how to deliver their products safely to the customers.BTW, I opened and made one cup of this Citron Tea before throwing it out to show how it looks to the potential customers !

A Bright And Vibrant Citron Tea That Adds A Sunny Warmness On A Cold Fall Day
O'Food Chung Jung One BoKumjari Korean Citron Tea With Korean Pear is a delicious tea that can be enjoyed both hot or cold. The 35.2oz bottle holds a sunny orange colored citron tea that is packed full of delicate bite sized, razor thin slices of citron peel and fruit with soft jelly pieces intermixed. Once the hot water mixed with a spoonful of the Citron Tea, the bright and vibrant aroma of citron immediately perfumed the air. I found the tea to be perfectly sweetened while the citrus slices offer a balanced sweet and bitter flavor. I really enjoyed the refreshing flavor and found that it added a sunny warmness on a cold fall day. When enjoyed cold, it reminded me of a lighter version of lemonade. Since the weather has been incredibly cold, I have just been enjoying it hot. I think this would also be a wonderful gift to give a loved one if they are feeling under the weather as it is a delicious way to get more fluids while giving them a boost of Vitamin C . The ingredients include sugar, citron, water, citric acid, ascorbic acid (to protect quality), and pectin. The manufacturer did note that the tea was manufactured on the same equipment that processes other products which may contain milk, wheat, soybean, peanut, and crab. If you have an allergy to any or all of these ingredients, please be aware. It is a Product of the Republic of Korea. The product that I received has a best by date of 13 months from the date that I received it. I really enjoyed this tea and will definitely keep a constant supply in our home and re-order soon.

very good citron and pear "tea" that's more versatile than just tea
I've been getting other brands of citron tea syrup for some time from one of the wholesale clubs and the Asian grocers. This one is among the better ones I've purchased.I like the sweetness and the lingering faint bitterness after consumption from the peel. I think some of the other brands took out all the bitter notes, which is a part of what I really like about this style of product. The one thing I will note was the occasional piece of citron seed, which I've not had from most other brands. As for the inclusion of Korean pear, I always find it to be an extremely subtle flavor that's hard to detect when mixed with other flavors. I feel like it's the same here, though I do think the pear "softens" the sharp citrus edges here (without muting the bitterness too much). I appreciate that.In terms of price, this is one of the most expensive ones I've consumed at a list price of $22.99.That said, with this and other brands, I use this for way more than jus hot tea. It's good as a very thin smear of marmalade on toast. It's good in salad dressings, sauces, and marinades. I've mixed it sparingly into baked goods for a little extra flavor and texture. It's more multi-purpose than just tea, in my view.

A little sweet -- needs a touch more acid
First off I'm not sure why they say this is with pear as the bottle I got was just regular citron tea. Not sure if this is a mix up or a mistake in the listing but there is no pear anywhere in the label. Since it isn't listed, the ingredients are:Sugar, Citron, Water, Citric Acid, Ascorbic Acid, and PectinLooking at the ingredients you can tell this stuff is the real deal. There are no fillers, just the stuff needed for pure citron tea. That being said I found this to be a touch on the sweeter side and wish they upped the amount of citric acid in here to add some sour notes to balance the sweetness. I could add more water but it diluted out the flavor of the citron.Overall all though this is one of the better Citron Tea's I've tried.O'Food Chung Jung One BoKumjari Korean Citron Tea with Korean Pear

Came with broken seal and was leaking. Disappointed, but it smelled wonderfully sweet and citrusy.
This review is for O'Food Chung Jung One BoKumjari Korean Citron Tea with Korean PearI was really looking forward to this one because we buy similar citron tea jams or jellies often to add to tea or to make tea. The bottle was packaged in bubble wrap. But I was left sorely disappointed when the bottle came leaking and with the sticker seal already broken. The bottle was fine but it looked like the bottle was opened or opened during transit.Unfortunately I will not be consuming this. It is a nice large size and would've lasted a good while and it smelled wonderful, a light sweet citrusy scent.

Sweet and tangy - perfect late night tea!
I am new to the world of Korean Citron teas, but I absolutely love them.Made from Yuzu and sugar/glucose syrup + a few additives. It is incredibly fragrant and the perfect blend of sweet and sour. I'd say it ranks around a 6/10 in sweetness, and a 2.5-3/10 in sourness. It tastes moderately healthy, although the sugar content certainly offsets some of the health benefits in my opinion. But if you are looking for a nostalgic taste, or to just try Citron tea for the first time, this is a great choice. It's a huge jar, great tasting, and seems like good quality. It would be better if the only ingredients were Yuzu and honey, or Yuzu, sugar, and citric acid - there are a few more additives than I like.
