Two new units.. both failed.. stay away!
Purchased in January ‘17. Sealed crawlspace. Worked great at first. The humidity lowered to manageable level but after 4 months it failed (circuit board burned out). After sitting at Horizon for 3 months, I was finally shipped a replacement with a note that the replacement would not carry a warranty and to be thankful because Horizon did me a favor by replacing. Well, here it is in August of ‘18.. almost one year later and it just failed again.. it runs day and night without dropping any humidity.. it’s basically a $1400 crawlspace fan that costs about $30 a month to run and is a real pain to move.

Works like a champ
Works like a champ. Easy to install and humidity dropped over 20% in just a couple days. Mold is disappearing and wood flooring is now dry and clean.

Spent over $1400 on this XP90 machine and extremely disappointed. In the last 1
Spent over $1400 on this XP90 machine and extremely disappointed. In the last 1.5 years, it's gone back to the company for warranty repairs X3! I just got it back last month and guess what, it's broken AGAIN! So does that mean I have to send it back for a 4th time for repairs? 1st repair was a compressor problem, 2nd repair was the evaporator coil, and 3rd issue was the thermostat malfunction. So what is the 4th time going to be?It's finally over 80 degrees here and high humidity, and this machine runs constantly all day and all night and doesn't even make a dent into the humidity. The cheap plastic dehumidifiers you buy from Home Depot/Lowes perform better than this oneI will mention it it ONCE AGAIN that want a new unit and not this lemon. I definitely expect more out of a $1400+ machine.

This is not a good machine
We had our crawlspace inspected and mold was found. The company "encapsulated" our crawlspace and recommended the XP90 to keep it dry. We purchased the dehumidifier through the company and they installed it. The unit worked well for 9 months and then stopped working. It ran but did not reduce the humidity. Contacted the company on numerous occasions but they did not offer assistance and finally stopped answering my calls. In the last 2 1/2 years we have spent $450 on repairs.I would not recommend this unit.

Failed at 5 years
It functioned for almost exactly 5 years. It seemed to do its job, but I seldom checked it since it was under the house. Then I noticed no water being discharged and found that the circuit breaker had flipped off. I checked the unit's filter (clean), switched house circuits and turned it back on. It ran for about 5 seconds, then tripped off the second circuit breaker. Repeated the process a few times without success. Maybe my expectations were too high.

Doesn't last three years
I hired a company to seal my crawlspace, install a vapor barrier as well as install this the Horizon Titan XP90 dehumidifier. Folks, this dehumidifier is garbage. It stopped collecting moisture in my crawlspace at approximately three years after installation. I called the company who installed the dehumidifier who in turn called the manufacturer. Low and behold the manufacturer (Horizon) went out of business and obviously cannot honor the warranty that is still active on my dehumidifier. Ended up having to spend $1,200+ on a new crawlspace dehumidifier from another manufacturer and installing it myself.
