Unit has digital heating unit issues, really pricy liner replacement and rather mediocre customer service solutions.
Didn't jell into yogurt after three tries. I used their yogurt starter, followed heating specs. third time (after accidentally breaking the porcelain inner liner), I used a jar inside the unit, instead. Still, unit's temperature was too hot -probably killed their culture. After contacting the manufacturer. I cannot recommend this product (especially based on what happened next). This "new product" Rep at Belle and Bella mentioned that they are still trying to figure out the digital heating quality issue. Conducting a test for her and calling her back with the 121 degree results. Said, then, they would sell me a new unit, but I would have to pay them $33.00 for the new liner, plus shipping. Their price was $69 for YoMaker, instead of $48 (at Amazon). So, to replace my new and defective unit, they would only charge me about $42 for the $69 maching. She said, I could go through Amazon for a credit, instead, too. I tried to return it for credit to Amazon, but was just past the 30 days, so no luck.

My first yogurt maker--very pleased
I'm very happy with this yogurt maker. I like the bean pot shape and the bright orange stripe. Its very simple to operate--hit the left button to turn it on, the right button to set the time, and the middle button to start it. The panel turns from blue to green to show that it has started, and it beeps to tell you it's done and to come turn it off. The container for the yogurt is a glossy white round ceramic jar and lid with what looks like a silicone seal that removes easily to wash. You put a cup of lukewarm water in the pot, set the ceramic jar with your milk/culture mixture in, add the outer lid, and 10 hours later--perfect yogurt. The whole thing is not very big--about the size of a volleyball. I really like the whole design, and love the simplicity of it. It was more expensive than some similar ones, but I hate boxy appliances, so it was worth it to me. I've made four batches so far and they've all turned out delicious.

Need to be good at Thickening if using for non dairy yogurt. (I freeze it in ice cube trays for shakes)
It's pretty self explanatory with the directions. Making non dairy yogurt with silk almond milk comes out very runny. I used canned coconut milk and added tapioca flour and it's still pretty liquidy. You'll need to perfect the thickening process to make THICK non dairy yogurt.(I tried 8 hours, to 12 hours to 15 hours and still same consistency. The yogurt does come out tasty. I froze the almond milk yogurt in ice cube trays and will use for smooties and shakes and the coconut one I am eating with granola and chia seeds and it tastes amazing. Need to play around with the sweeting but it's already damn delicious...

Good company...poor manufacturing quality...worthless for me.
Such a nice design. It never heated up to above 100 degrees...worthless. So sad as I have been faithfully using their non-dairy yogurt starter for years via subscribe and save.

Was hopeful
I watched the video and thought this is the perfect yogurt maker for me. However upon unpacking it everything looked fine until I opened it up where the little ceramic bowl was in a gazillion pieces. So unfortunately I had to return it so I will never know.

This item is a waste of money!
I tried two times to make the yogurt wasting time and money and both times I have nothing but milk!! I wasted money on a thermometer, Milk, Corn starch, gelatin, and the cultures!! On top of it all the machine is non returnable??? I am so angry and the only reason it got 1 star was because I had to give them that, I would have given them a negative stars is able!!

Delicious homemade yogurt.
I make my own almond milk and then make the yogurt. The instruction booklet is well done and very easy to follow.
