Lives up to its name!
I've tried numerous "purple shampoos" since I went platinum blonde a while back, but I was always disappointed. I had to switch stylists, and she recommended Evo Fabuloso products. They're amazing! I've been using the shampoo, per the directions, with excellent results. My hair looks as good three weeks after my last toning session as it does on the day the toner is applied. And unlike the other brand that was "highly recommended" by other stylists, this doesn't cost $50 a bottle and smell like a house of ill repute. As a note, I have very sensitive skin, and am allergic to many scented products, but I haven't had any issues with Fabuloso.

Love EVO but not this product
I love EVO products but this one is a bust. Left my hair dry and otherwise wasn't good at taking the yellow tone, brassyness out. I got Olaplex blond shampoo and that one is way better and worth every penny - not this product.

Whew, that price!
I am naturally a level 7 blonde but have had level 11 or 12 highlights added to my hair for the last ten years. I usually get a ton of very thin highlights so that overall my hair looks significantly lighter and dimensional. For this reason, purple shampoo has become a staple in my shower. I will usually use purple shampoo every other wash to keep those highlights fresh and ashy. Occasionally (if i'm feeling frisky) I will intentionally leave the shampoo on longer than intended to give my hair a purple cast. I've tried many different brands of purples shampoos over the years and was excited to try this one out. Here is what I found after using this product:Pros1. I find the smell to be very pleasant. It vaguely reminds me of that "hairspray" smell with some foral notes added. I don't find it to be overpowering, but it definitely strong enough to leave your hair smelling like the salon after it has dried.2. The shampoo is pretty pigmented and seemed to do an okay job at toning the brass in my hair. I applied the shampoo at the beginning of my shower and rinsed right before exiting (as I do with all other purple shampoos). The total time was probably 10-12 minutes. The recommended time to leave the product on per the packaging is 1-3 minutes. I personally feel that if left on for 1-3 minutes I would not have seen noticeable toning.3. I enjoy that this bottle is more of a metal tube rather than plastic. I feel that this allows every last drop to be squeezed out where with a plastic bottle you are relying on gravity to get those last few precious drops.4. It cleans the hair well without stripping it of its natural oils. My hair felt moisturized and clean without the use of a conditioner afterwards.Cons:1. The cost of this product vs. the size vs. the toning capabilities seems steep to me. I agree with other reviewers that there is probably only enough in this bottle for 3 washes max. While it is recommended to be used once weekly per the packaging, many people use their purple shampoo more frequently. Even at a once weekly wash, this product is going to last less than a month. The cost is what I would expect from a toning treatment rather than a shampoo.2. The packaging notes that the shampoo should not be left on more than 20 minutes. This is the first shampoo I have found that has a warning regarding max time. I am unsure if that is due to the fact that a purple cast will be left behind, or actual damage will be done to the hair, but it makes me uneasy.Compared to other shampoos that I have used, I feel that the toning of this product is lackluster. I can buy my usual salon quality purple shampoo in a liter bottle for less than $50- and it does an excellent job and lasts almost a year before running out. When doing the math, this shampoo is currently $9 for 1 oz. My usual high end shampoo (a well known brand) works out to be $1.20 per ounce. If the price was more reasonable, I think that I would add this product into my routine because it does smell nice and makes my hair feel healthy.
