I bought this to keep current with the IoT (Internet of Things) tech. Alexa hears quite well. I have gone 20 feet away with no problem. With a Prime account, I get a wide array of access to music. I plugged the Echo in to a Bose Wave Radio for great sound. I will most likely purchase a Bluetooth receiver to play the sound through my stereo. I want to test all capabilities. I have just started to test some of the skills that are available. I enjoy the jokes, the weather reports and the Daily Briefing.The thing that bothers me right now is having to setup different accounts with other vendors so the Dot can interact with them. As an example, I got the TP-Link Smart Plug with the Dot. I had to create an account with TP-Link and activate remote access with TP-Link before Alexa could access it. Creating the account was not easy either as Amazon would not let me download the LP-Link Kasa app. I had to use my iPad for that.

This book does exactly what it says in the title it basically helps you understand how to use your Echo. You will also find out how to sync it with the other services and link it to all the things you see in the commercial which is not explained and the material that comes with the echo dot. The author humbly acknowledged the infant stage of this product. Hopefully, there will be more uses for the echo dot in the future. I am actually pretty sure of that because the developers have made a tremendous job and it seems they have been successful so far on this innovative and futuristic market.I can recommend the book to people who want to have all the detailed and well-explained information about Echo at the same place.

This is a good user guide book about Amazon Echo. It provides and accurate details about how to operate it and other aspects associated with it. I like the dot a lot but after a few weeks don't use very much. Can't figure out how to connect it to my older blue tooth speaker no matter whatI try. There are many questions you ask her that she cannot answer. Great for a timer, weather, music and things like that. Picks up music from Pandora and from Amazon so large selections. Very nice for the price all over though.

This is a cheap knockoff of the included echo instructions- no information in here that a kindergarten would be able to figure out in a day of using the echo- very disappointed, bought 3 and didn't even give them to the people I bought the dots for, terrible book, full of bs general information- ripped me off I felt.

It's very detailed and easy to understand. It's a good and instructive manual on Amazon Dot. There is a lot of info on functionality, features, and in depth details on what to expect. The book has good information right from what it is and how to set up our voice commands to recognize our voice and feature it has ranging from picking your desired music album to funny conversations. Dot has a small built-in speaker-it can also connect to your speakers over Bluetooth or with the included audio cable. Overall, this was a well-written guide that newbies would love.

This book is perfect for all those persons who are interested in using Amazon Dot. The book covers all the necessary basics and details that will help you enjoy Dot. Also this book provides info on some hidden functions which was a nice surprise for me. It also included the difference between the first and second generation echo dots, and the difference between echo dot and amazon tap. After reading this book, I was amazed at how many different things Dot is capable of. Like reading book from my kindle library! It just made my life so much easier, because I can listen to my books while cooking, exercising, or even before sleep.

Bought for me by my daughter for Christmas. I like being able to tell it to turn on the radio and as an alarm. Will take time for an old codger like me to get used to all it's different areas.

Thought it was a waste of money. Buying books unseen is not a good idea at times
