My career has been reference/ research for large city public libraries so of course I feel about books the way others feel about a ticket to Disney or a Baked Alaska for dessert.I've bought more than 30 books via Amazon, many good condition, secondhand hardbacks.This volume is a drop dead, GORGEOUS item. Printed in Europe. Fancy coffee table museum subject, hbk.Altho the description of copy said it isn't new, even w my scrutiny as a library worker, I see no visible indication of its being secondhandI'm EXTREMELY impressed with the retailer who transacted this book, within amazon

Epic! I love every page of this masterpiece

If you visited Turkey and liked the Ottoman pottery, this is the book. I saw this book in Istanbul but didn't have enough money to boy it... I then searched it in Amazon, more or less with the same price, and didn't think about it.

An exceptional book with well chosen high quality illustrations. Reflects the author's life long passion for and deep knowledge of the subject. Almost like owning the wide range of ancient pieces depicted.
