Q: Are these free of bpa, bps, and/or phthalates? this question is for the manufacturer or seller.

Thank you for this important question. Yes, the stencils are phthalates free and were tested by a CPSC accredited lab and it is in compliance of ASTM and HR4040.

Q: How thick are these? Can you maybe compare to coins - thick as one dime or a stack of quarters?

As thick as a quarter and a dime stacked. They are pretty sturdy.

Q: does this set come with drawing paper and would this set be good for a seven year old?

No drawing paper included. There are 10 templates in a plastic case. The case also contains a print out with introductions to the shapes. This set is great for 3+, all age groups. I would think a 7 year old would be able to take all the different shapes and make a variety of things. I recently used it to make a large assortment of various sized shapes for children to glue making trees for an art project. The stencils are very sturdy and easy to work with.
