A Pretty Decent Copy of the 3M 1860
I do have 3M 1860's that I bought before the pandemic, before the counterfeits emerged, so I know what the real deal is. I have confidence in the NIOSH testing because they are made in the United States, as you probably know, one has to be skeptical about imports concerning that. This mask appears quite similar to the 1860 in construction. The nose clip is heavy gauge, which I think is important to get a good seal around the nose. I have tried masks with a lighter gauge metal clip and they would not seal well around the nose no matter how hard I tried to adjust and shape the clip. I have a test to check how it seals around the nose, I put a speck of toilet paper above and behind the front on the mask near the side of my nose and blow hard, and see if there is any movement in the speck of toilet paper. The seal is pretty good if you get the clip shaped well to your nose. In summary, these masks appear to be a good copy and alternative to the 3M 1860. And the 3M originals are very hard to get, this scarcity compounded by the huge number of nearly indistinguishable counterfeits infesting the market from Vietnam or Peru or who knows where.I would give these a 5-star rating, except that they do not have the track record that 3M has. However, they might well be just as effective as the 3M 1860.

The Real Deal!
Finally! In my opinion, a true N95. I have spent a ridiculous amount of money on masks for the past year, and haven't been completely satisifed until now. With this Delta variant making it's way through the US, I wanted something a little more safer than the kN95. My husband works in a hospital, and he is given an N95 at work, but we wanted back ups in case things get crazy again (I don't think they will, Hopefully.) anyways, I would say the only thing is, sizing. He and I have big faces, and the regular size fits perfect! If you have a small face, go with the small.

Pretty sure these are fake.
I think these are fake. First they arrived with a bad chemical smell that I have never encountered in an N95 mask before. I then cut one open to see the layers. An N95 mask should have four layers of different materials. This has two, I got it because it came in small size and the small size actually fits, but they are disappointing.

Shipped without protective box, seal already broken appeared to be opened and resealed
Hard to tell if these can be trusted when they arrive with torn and damaged product box without a shipping box. Quality seal not intact on packaging. Masks seem ok and we’re still sealed in inner plastic sleeve.

Chemical Smell
The fit was fine for a small face. I just couldn't keep the mask on my face due to the chemical smell. When you open the package you can smell the chemicals right away. I took a mask out of the package and waited for 2 weeks hoping it would improve, and it still smells like chemicals.

Happy to find NIOSH teal Medical masks almost similar to one worn by some physicians.
Liked- At long last, the headbands are NOT plastic; headbands have NOT broken, so far; headbands have stretch and are stapled securely instead of sewed or glued in ; the cup fits over the nose well; it is NIOSH certified which makes me feel protected; I can still breathe well after wearing it for 2 hours; it is a light mask; it is made in America. After I remove it, it leaves temporary marks on my nose and cheeks, and I would have liked it slightly longer under the chin, but I am extremely happy to have these masks. The masks that I received exactly fit the description and picture as shown. I ordered regular size masks, and I might order some more.

What a smell!
I was excited to find real N95 masks made in the USA available in size small. I put the mask on and removed it after 1 minute because the smell is overwhelming. It reminds me of paint thinner. The smell makes it hard to breathe. It is too bad because the mask fits well. I am going to allow the masks to air out for a few days. Maybe they will become useable. More to follow......OK, after a day of airing out, the masks still stink too much to wear.
