After many many years of grilling out, and many many kabob skewers I have gone through, I found the perfect set!! I have learned that certain things cook faster, so I cook the chicken first, then add squash, zucchini, onions, mushrooms and peppers at different times. I add steak last since we prefer it medium rare. Just remember to take the safety tips off when you get them. One more thing, since they are flat, nothing turns and moves like round skewers! It’s going to be a cold winter, but I see myself using these no matter the temperatures outside! One more thing, cut everything up the day before and put them in plastic baggies. I marinate in Kraft Italian dressing which adds so much flavor. Just don’t buy the low-fat dressing. Worth every cent!!

We have been trying to cook at home more and our favorite meats are always grilled. The skewers we were making used the traditional wood ones that had to be soaked and were difficult to turn and remove. Over the summer we had been at a friends bbq who had made perfect kabobs and I remember her saying her husbands trick was to use metal ones. These intrigued me because of how many came in the pack and the sliding mechanism for removal.The skewers are very long which fits a lot of meat and veggies and doesn’t require them to be squished together. They’re so long that they sit on our grill to where we can use the circular turn to rotate them without having to put our hands over heat, use tongs, or open the lid fully and have heat escape. The pointed end is also not sharp enough to where I feel uncomfortable having them out with children.The biggest game changer with these is the sliding mechanism. You literally squeeze and slide it along the skewer and it pushes everything off easily (I did use a coat of olive oil for lighter colored meats like chicken and shrimp before cooking). There’s no more sitting with a fork and trying to pull the meat off, mangled meat after removal, or having to eat it on the stick which is way more polite in front of company.They were easy to clean and I liked that we could pop them in the dishwasher but hand washing was ample enough for us. The pack comes with 10 and unless you are entertaining you only need to use a few at the time so I know they will be lasting us many years. I’d recommend these for anyone looking for a good gift for a grill or smoker lover in their friends or family.

I purchased these for my husband for his new stainless steel grill. The good: I made chicken and veggie kabobs. Spearing the food was easy, and a lot fit on the kabob stick. Everything cooked well and while they do get hot, using appropriate gloves we were easily able to slide the food off and get it right where we wanted to (you can squeeze the top prongs to slide the food off). They seem super sturdy and well made. The bad: NOTHING. We've used them a few times now. We have some other ones and the food slides off too easily. Like Golilocks, these are just right.

Great skewer for grilling. Sturdy and works great!I usually use Wood Skewers ... so nice to get re-use instead of burning and throwing away the wood skewers.Laid them in the top shelf of the Dishwasher and they cleaned up fine.

Quality look and feel. The slider works well to remove food from the skewers after cooking and includes a stop to keep the slider on the skewer. Clean up well in the dishwasher.
