Versatile 2-in-1 lunch box with added safety in the middle of a pandemic
The OMIEBOX came in very lovely packaging and my 2.5 yrs old preschooler was appealed to the well coordinated block colors at first sight. I was a bit worried that my toddle wouldn’t have the dexterity to operate the lunch box, but with a few demonstrations and practice, he was able to turn the thermal lid and remember to push down the box lid when snapping it close. It is a bit on the heavier side but I appreciate the size of the compartments which provides sufficient portion for up to 5 yrs old (more even if without a juice box). There is this removable silicone seal insert to make the compartments leak proof and meant to make it easy for washing. I wish the company would consider making it bonded to the lid in the same fashion as the Bentgo box. It would make it easier to clean without these folds and crevices. I really appreciate the removable thermal compartment so you can pack cold fruits and hot entrée in the same lunch box! Great product overall and I am so excited to be able to serve my kid hot food again. A lot of nurseries have implemented safety guidelines to minimize handling of kid’s food due to COVID-19 concerns, so it’s safer not having to move everyone lunch boxes into a common refrigerator and microwave before serving.

LOVE THIS!
Being my toddler needs food made everyday I was super worried about how to maintain the foods temperature. My sister mentioned this Omiebox, which I had never heard of before. So I decided to give it a try, wasn’t cheap either so I was super hesitant. I can honestly say this is a quality made product and worth its value!I can now make his food everyday and rest assured that the temperature stays good so that when he goes to have lunch it’s nice and warm! Super easy to carry, secure close, the seal I was hesitant about, but let me tell you even though you are able to remove and reattach it works rather well! This product is durable and I’m super pleased I invested in it. Thank you to the creator of this! Making mother’s mornings easier! One last note - I love the color I selected!

Perfect for 9 year old starting 4th grade
Our daughter starts in-person school next year and is attending a charter that spends most of their day outside, rain or shine. Their school doesn’t have a kitchen so all the kids need to bring food from home for breakfast, snacks and lunch.I wanted a sturdy and easy to clean lunchbox that had decent compartments for separating foods and would keep hot foods the right temp for food safety reasons. This bento style box is just right for her age and is thoughtfully made so that it can accommodate a variety of hot or cold meals. I especially like the removable thermos area as that gives me options for hot liquids or things like pasta and rice that need to stay a certain temp.I am waiting on the utensils but love the way they hook to the handle instead of going inside the lid. There’s room to customize with stickers so she knows which is hers, and the variety of colors made her excited to coordinate with her interests.

Leak proof, lightweight, easy to open by 5 yr old!
Great lunchbox for my 5 yr old son! I did probably a little too much research on lunchboxes for 5 yr olds. I wanted something leakproof and easy to open for a Kindergartener, while being sturdy (and obviously cool looking), and not too heavy, that was a bento style box. I figured if he had to dig through a lunch bag and open a bunch of sandwich bags for his lunch, that he might not eat everything I’d packed. This Omiebox is perfect! It’s colorful, easy to open, not too heavy, allows him to see all his lunch options upon opening it, and leakproof.I have two complaints:The thermos doesn’t keep food hot. My son leaves for school at 6:30 (his lunch is heated and packed at 6 am). I followed the instructions about warming the thermos with hot water before putting in the food. His lunch hour is 11:30, and he mentioned his food was cold. Sandwiches it is i guess! My second complaint is that the silicone ring is kind of difficult to put back on (we remove it daily to wash it). I haven’t mastered putting it back on, and I fear it’ll leak, but it hasn’t yet, so that’s promising. When the box is closed I turn the box all around and it is visibly noticeable that one side closes higher than the other side (the side where I struggle to fit the silicone ring back on).Just an FYI I pack his omiebox inside a lunch bag (Zoli Nom Nom) and it fits perfectly, and I can lack a water botttle on the outside of the lunch bag. This lunch bag fits inside his Small Pottery Barn backpack. Phew!

Great lunch box but thermos doesn’t hold heat
I’ve been using this lunchbox for about a year now for my son and I do like it and so does he but there are some things I don’t love about itFor starters the thermos doesn’t keep foods warm what so ever, even I when packing into an insulated lunch bag it doesn’t keep it warm for 4.5 hours so I stopped using that accessory and opted for an separate thermos from another companyWashing and drying this is a bit tricky, it’s fine if the box has time to fully dry over night. But if you happen to forget to wash it out the night before and get stuck having to the morning of it’s an absolute pain to get completely dry since there’s a super tiny grove for the silicone seal all around the edges that holds water really wellThe other issue is that the silicone seal is removable for cleaning and it’s super easy to take out however it’s a little too easy to remove. My son has removed it during his lunch periods and lost it while at school 2x now, thankfully it was found but it’s a bit of a design flaw since this could become a strangulation risk rather quickly if a child was to put this over their heads since the material is thick rubberI have the accessories like the dip containers and travel silverware as well for this and they both work really well, but again the silver wear pouch is hard do dry due to the designOver all it’s definitely better than a lot of bento style boxes on the market it’s definitely heavy duty and has large compartments. It is a really good lunch box and would be even better if those few things weren’t a problem.
