I loved that it had some weight to it but it’s not heavy either; it’s nicely weighted. Very nice piece of wood and very smooth. I’m using it to make a paddle and I love how sturdy the item is. Takes several coats of acrylic paint to show the true color ( if using purple). The money was worth it. I’d order again if I make another paddle this size.

Needed to get a Greek life paddle for my time during my process. If you want something to give to your big brother/sister (Greek Org Meaning) then This is relating to your need, however, do keep in mind that this isn't a tiny paddle. In reality its a pretty well sized object that has some weight to it if you swing it or hold it. Its wide enough from the top down to the neck to fit your sorority/fraternity letters. The body is just the right size in length and width to apply your design and it isn't hard to paint on it. If you're looking for a paddle to give to your pledge master or pledge mistress; Do NOT buy it because it might be too short to fit all the names from your class.Usually pledge master/mistress paddles are longer about twice as long if not three times longer.PRO: Perfect paddle to get for your big, enough space on the neck for large Greek letters, enough space on the body to put everything you'd want (Keep in mind to be reasonable with limit) and easy to paint on. (Especially when it comes to spray painting)CON: None, unless you're looking for an actually pledge class paddle, do not buy this one and get the longer ones.

I needed a paddle that was cheap in price for my upcoming formals. I ended up choosing this one for my big bro, and honestly the surface was very easy to draw and paint on, however there were some black bumps that was tough to maneuver. But overall, it’s a cheaper price than other stores and websites so the value is worth it.
