Q: Were these worn in dirty harry?

There are very nice knockoffs of the Baloramas that Dirty Harry wore. I own two pairs of for-real RayBan Baloramas, they fit and feel the same. Nice clear field of vision. I ordered five of these for daily use, or when I don't want to risk wearing the expensive originals. Great value for money.

Q: I want to use these as part of a Men in Black costume. Would they be overly dark to wear at night, or average level of dark?

They are about a average level of dark. You should be able to wear these at night.

Q: Has it a matt finished frame ?

The frame is a bit shinny, not a flat black. The glasses are ok, the frame seems to have a funny uneven fit. My hat size is 7 3/8 and the sun glasses are a bit tight on my face. They have become my last resort sun glasses.
