Excellent OEM Capacitor for GE Brand in Home A/C
OEM GE capacitor fan motor spec is 7.5 µF and compressor motor is 45 µF, both ±6%. Same PROTECTED P968 and S10000AFC ratings, same ±6% tolerance, etc. The new one measured 7.62 µF (+1.6%) and 45.9 µF (+2.0%). Exact 2.0" OD and 1" shorter than A/C OEM capacitor, fit holding clamp perfectly. Wire terminals exactly correct and installation was a snap. Powered on and A/C works perfect and now quieter as old capacitor measured 7.42 µF (-1.1% OK) and 41.4 µF (-8.0% BAD). Nice getting a non Chinese knock-off quality part!!

Exact fit for Carrier 4-ton unit
A dead capacitor is probably the #1 reason for dead AC units. After calling a couple local A/C companies to diagnose my A/C unit, I decided to just replace the capacitor on my own and ended up saving over $400! Replacing the capacitor is a VERY simple install as long as you make sure you match the Mf units from your old capacitor.. Also, it's a good idea to keep an extra around - for the price, it is worth the piece of mind!

Arrived dented
Returned the first one as Amazon ships in a bag and the part only comes in a flimsy box. It was dented in several places and I did not want to take a chance. Replacement arrived without dents. Bonus is that it’s made in Mexico.

Saved me $500
My AC went out. I paid $90 to have a tech come out and he said I needed a new capacitor. They were going to charge $500 to put a new capacitor in. I started laughing bc I knew capacitors are mostly cheap. I ordered this, had it the next day and had it changed out in 7 minutes.Disclaimer: Do not change a capacitor if you don’t know what you are doing. They can un-alive you bc even disconnected they can store a charge.

It fit!
Replaced that 5 yr old cap on the AC condenser unit with this cap. Living in south easy Texas, I don't wait around for capacitors to fail. I replace them about every 5 yrs

Upgraded replacement to a 15-year old one
