Disappointing update to what was once the best in class daypack.
I bought this latest version of the Talon 22 as a replacement for my ageing 2018 Talon 22. The new pack features a few updates which include: A new frame sheet, hip belt padding and small pocket on the shoulder strap. In my opinion these features make the pack worse! The frame sheet is rigid and inflexible when compared to the older model. It also features a curved lip at the base which will only add to discomfort when fully loaded. The hip belt on the older Talon was made with a fully ventilated panel. The new hip belt is made from a dense material which will cause heat spots. The shoulder strap pocket features a button closure, which limits its use for one handed quick grabs. I’ve returned my pack for a refund and I’m going to shop around for the older version.
