When I needed it the most
Both my wife and I have attended the Becoming Your Best Seminar. Who could have imagined that this Covid Crisis would impact our lives so quickly and with such magnitude? But John Lennon once made the statement, “Everything will be okay in the end. If it's not okay, it's not the end.”So it is from this point forward in our lives...we all need a plan of where to go from here - right? This book, Start with the Vision, is exactly what I needed!Once again, thanks to the Shallenberger Team - you definitely have my back.

True Principles We Can All Apply
What I love about the 6 step process is that it works! This book does a fantastic job illustrating how situations which seem completely daunting or overwhelming can be overcome through a applying a process that helps you not only find solutions but gets you excited to make it happen. This process has helped me countless times over the years to establish a vision and follow the proper steps to work towards making it a reality. A must read!

A fast read of very good and practical guide
This is the book I like. Not unnecessarily long, with clear methodology and illustrating examples. It will be well worth two hours of your time.

Excellent book.
A simple strategy on actually achieving your goals. The author uses relevant case scenarios to show how the methodology applies to personal and professional challenges/goals/problems.

Excellent process that will change how you deal with challenges
The process outlined in Start with Vision, if implemented, will transform how to overcome challenges! I have introduced these simple concepts to colleagues who were revitalized and succeeded in conquering problems more quickly and with energy, rather than run-down and drained.I can't recommend this book enough.

A re-make of the classic problem-solving process
If you already learned the classic 8-step problem-solving process, you don’t need to buy this book. The authors say to start with the vision. Okay, fair enough. Step 1 is to formulate your vision. But steps 2-6 are just the classic 8-step problem-solving process in disguise.I really believe in starting with a vision. I do! But as far as I could tell, there was little or no mention of:* how to create a vision*how to gain the ability to create a vision if you've had trouble doing so in the past* how to write a corporate vision statement* how to determine if your vision is too big or too small or what.*how to find outside resources related to vision-casting, envisioning or anything along those lines (but certainly some plugs for their paid workshop.)It's…meh.Luckily, the authors do give a variety of situations where the business owner, the parent, or some other person is stuck. But it wasn’t clear to me how the struggling person in the story came up with their own questions, much less their answers. Take Crystal who was millions of dollars in debt. A great story! But sounds to me like the live coaching was what solved her problem. Not that she had some formula for creating a vision.I also read Michael Hyatt's Vision Driven Leader a few years ago. It was very good -- certainly much better than this book, because it actually addresses "vision" .

Follow the steps, It works
It is the perfect book to start an improvement process. The book explains in a simple way and with multiple examples a path to follow if you have a goal to achieve.Does not matter if small or big, if you have a goal you want to accomplish, follow the steps and you will get it.My recommendation, read it twice. The first time get the main ideas and the thinks that you like. Do not try to implement as you read it. Then, read it a second time, this time with your vision/goal in mind and apply the steps as you read the book. See yourself reaching that goal cause you’ll get it.

This book will help you achieve focus and direction!
I was impressed with this quick read. The authors are easy to understand and use practical, real-world examples that anyone can relate to. As a CEO, I have struggled to identify problems and resolve issues that plague our company. However, I now feel I have a better grasp of the actions required to make this happen. This book provides 6 steps any organization can utilize to cut to the chase and achieve results. I wish this book had been in my library 16 years ago when we started our company.
