TOMAXIrises 1000 Piece Vincent van Gogh Mini Jigsaw Puzzle

I have a love-hate relationship with this puzzle, or maybe I'm just a glutton for punishment. To start, I love Van Gogh's artwork. It's beautiful, it's magnificent. I also love jigsaw puzzles. They're good for keeping my brain challenged. But let me tell you, this tiny, 1000-piece monster of a puzzle is absolute torture. You see, Van Gogh was a sick man, he cut off his own ear and eventually killed himself at the age of 37. Well, I'm 29 now and I don't think I'll finish this thing until I'm 37 myself - and by then, I may want to cut my own ear off.There is just something about Van Gogh paintings that isn't conducive to the leisurely assembling of a jigsaw puzzle - what I mean to say is that every piece, while different, looks exactly the same to me. I'm certainly not trying to discourage anyone from purchasing this puzzle - it'll keep you busy for a very long time and I suppose that's what makes it great. I'm really not sure why I do this to myself.

100% agree with above comments! Beautifully made in terms of print quality but oh man, what a frustrating but challenging puzzle! If you have time to kill, lots of inhuman patience, this is the puzzle for you. The smaller sized pieces made it even more challenging but it made it even more satisfying when you are down with the last piece...... never thought I would finish it, it just seemed never ending. Lots of similar colors, lots of trial and error (you think you've got the right piece but you are so wrong....you'll see ;)), lots of frustration but all the more entertaining! As the print quality was really quite good, you can see all the genius strokes of the artist in the painting - a stunning masterpiece, which also makes it ideal for a puzzle. Simply amazing. Worth the money (and time:)) Only one word to describe it: fantastic!
