This is an excellent work on the Opium Trade that took place in India and China. It goes into great detail about Jardine, Matheson & Co. to include Russell & Co., Peninsular & Oriental Steam & Navigation Co., even the British East India Co. called "John Company," and the "Honourable Company." It also discusses the many types of boats that were involved. Finally it also goes over policy and even anti-opium lobbies. Highly recommended.
