It works and zaps bugs really good.
It zaps bugs and the light is pretty bright but the light sensor doesn't function so it won't turn on or off automatically. The bottom has to unscrewed in order to really clean it, the bottom part that twists off does hold a thing of Octenol so at it has that and it works, mosquitoes were attracted right to it.After banging it around the light sensor started working, so it shuts off automatically, I left a couple of stars off because the plastic grid around the zapper is too big and allows tons of big flying insects to clog it up, if it had a smaller grid that only allowed mosquitoes and flies in, it would be 5 stars.1 year update, the bulb burnt out and due to the large gaps in the grid some moths got in there and started to flame up resulting in some of the metal grid supports melting, I bought some mesh tape and put it around it and that only allowed Mosquitoes and Gnats in which all I care about anyway.

Got rid of the flies
We had a real fly problem this year indoors. Within 2 hours and spectacular fireworks from the burning monsters....we are fly free. (Along with one moth and many mosquito carcasses). It was very easy to clean. I could had almost been a new drink game. When you here the zap, take a drink. I would had bee toasty in about 30 min. This thing works indoors!! Kind of don't want to put it outside here because of the hummingbirds and butterflies.A little trivia- If you place near an xbox sensor, the flash when a critter gets "caught", will active a ping and the DVD drawer opening. Took us a few minutes to discover what the noise was we kept hearing.

Be wary of where you put this!
This product works fricken great if you hate bugs as much as I do. This thing kill so many bugs within the night I used it. Make sure to place this bug killing machine some where you won’t have to worry about cleaning after. Also, it works definitely great when it’s the only light source on.

It zaps a lot of insects but I don’t know if it gets a lot of mosquitoes.
Bottom plate is hard to remove. I broke one latch the first time I cleaned it.

Fine for light use, daylight sensor DOES NOT WORK
Luckily I have a separate timer switch that I can use. The unit is very light and feels cheap. The holes are small so larger insects can't get in; which I guess is good. The unit has a rocker switch that is on/off/daylight settings. The daylight setting is supposed to shut off during the day. It doesn't. It's also only 2 prong where my other zapper is a 3 prong grounded plug. So if this is a primary zapper, I would look elsewhere. If this is to offset the main zapper, then fine. I have about 1 acre of land.
