The magnet is crazy strong, and the swivel gooseneck stays put even fully extended. My only complaint is the plastic seems like it could break easily.

It does what it is intended to very well; only thing is that the piece at the bottom that you would clamp on the desk is not very strong itself. Its safer to remove the stand when making major adjustments.

I’ve been using it for almost a year for reading books and watching long YouTube videos on my iPhone 12 Pro Max. It is perfect. I can bend it into any length I need. It holds the phone while the cable is plugged in, too - ignore reviews that say it doesn’t.

it what you expect, works as advertised

The head couldn't hold itself to a fridge detached from the base. The base is mechanically difficult to f*up. Really, that was the whole purpose of ordering it. Hence thank goodness for that. But, the magnet, reinforced with another magnet, adhered with double-sided tape, and covered with some slip resistable material -- works well enough. Images: (1) Fix of $1 set of ceramic mags from the hardware store, wrapped with a latex glove. (2) Observation: on the backside of the head when it's detached, is a void of space deep enough to allow for a simple neodymium cylinder to fit nicely, solving the discrepancy in a more aesthetically appealing way. I haven't looked at the financial logic of that, but it's worth doing if you intend to make the purchase.

The media could not be loaded.  I have a uag cover that is rated for MagSafe. This works great to hold my device desk side next to my monitor. Before I decided to keep it I did a test to try and shake off the phone and it held better than I expected.I am switching from a clamp case on a pre MagSafe phone. Only thing I wish it had was a charger. But I suppose since I don’t charge mid day that is fine :)

Really great product with a clamp that works well especially since we have it clamped on a vertical surface.The goose neck is really long for what we need and a shorter one would be nice…. Didnt really look. The magnet didnt work well through the case so had to attach a magnet to the outside. Also it seems like the magnetic part is a small circular ring not the whole pad.

This works great. The bad reviews all seem to be from people who didn’t realize that this is specifically for iPhones with MagSafe. IThe bendy arm is very stiff but that’s probably a good thing. The magnet strength is perfect. If you don’t have a compatible iPhone, you’re gonna have a bad time with this. But if you do, it’s great!

The grip is made of plastic, which could snap if screwed on a little too tight. Also flexes around materials. The arm itself is quite flexible yet sturdy. No issues with the magnet, either.

I had a rock solid gooseneck mount that I mounted a Logitech Brio to that worked really well. It had a stiff gooseneck and all metal mounts, and I could shape it any way I wanted without fail.I gave that rig to a friend in the hospital for a month. Then the Apple Continuity Camera feature came out with Ventura and OS 16, and I figured why buy another webcam?Got this gooseneck as it was one of the only ones with a MagSafe connection.The gooseneck is too weak to hold the iPhone 14 Pro Max unless you coil it, and even then it’s pretty weak.The plastic table clamp feels like if I tighten it too much, the cheap plastic will fracture.I’m throwing this out. Companies like this need to understand that if you’re targeting a premium customer segment like iPhone users, we want quality. I should have seen by the price that they wouldn’t be sending a solid product.Don’t waste your money.

This mount can barely hold up the device, and bounces like a spring whenever you attach it. It’s also difficult to adjust the neck to the position you want given how much it sinks after you add the device.
