Family Guide New York City (Travel Guide)

Really good guide book for New York, not too waffly & tells you what you really need to know

The book was great - my 10yo read it before we left. The sections include nice little fun facts as well as sights tailored to families.

This is a great book to use whilst in New York. It has all the places to visit in the areas that they are in. Had it not been for this book we would have been forever o. The subway from downtown to uptown and wouldn’t have seen as half as much as we got too.

Really useful and had great maps, too. Going to New York with children means that you have to take a different approach than with adults, and this book was really helpful.

It is perfect book when you’re a fan of New York as all the places just perfect....

It's aimed at older kids so that should be clearer. I could make use of this with my 2 year old

I love NYC and have spent quite some time walking around the city, but all my expeditions have been on my own, exploring at my own pace and seeing whatever I wanted (I love architecture and exploring cities by foot).But planning a family trip with our 8 years old kid was a different story.How do we take my kid's, husband's and my interests into account?This travel guide allowed me to plan a week long trip with activities and interests for everyone. It's very well organized and it shows a main attraction, tells you about other attractions close, which restaurants and parks and even bathrooms are nearby.

Why buy a travel guide in 2019? Because this book is great at offering quick and easy info that can be difficult to find searching through sponsored travel and mommy blogs.

A bit out dated as of today.I like this guide over the DK Travel Guide one, as it gives information on locations, websites, how much time a visit might be, cost, open hours, where restrooms are, where to eat, what a kid might like to see nearby the place you’re going, ...The maps are good, showing where supermarkets are, subways stops, parks and playgrounds. There are some things that I notice are on my smart phone maps, not showing in this book, such as the Love Statue.There are maps in the back. The Subway map on inside of back cover is the best I’ve seen, showing lines for each Line. Too bad it’s not a pull out map.I recommend this book for anyone traveling with a child of any age. Hopefully the 2019 version would be out soon. I’m excited to go for the first time with my 12 year old next month.

Worthwhile purchase if you are headed to NYC. Good advice
