If you love it, you're going to love it. I have to say that if you can buy it loose you get more rice flavor. And more mess.

The price is really good for what I'd consider a quality tea. The brand I used to buy genmaicha from started mixing it with matcha (which I don't like), so I've been attempting to find a replacement. This is the closest I've come to that. For me, there just wasn't enough of that toasted goodness flavor I came to love about this type of tea. For those not used to a toasted style tea, this might be a good starting point for you.

Excellent quality genmaicha tea. We've tried several varieties which we have purchased through Amazon, and we prefer this brand for its consistency, aroma, and flavor. Plus, the price is great for an organic tea.p.s. Just re-ordered another 3 pack!

I have been on the hunt for a sweet, nutty tea I had when I was younger that was served during an eastern Asian cultural event. This is not that tea unless I am preparing it wrong. HOWEVER, it is delicate, pretty much one of the few green teas that I can even tolerate let alone enjoy. It is light in color and strength, as some of the others have mentioned, but I like that about this tea. I can make 2 cups/1 large coffee mug (16oz) per bag. Some teas you can make a bit more from one bag, but with this one, you lose too much flavor. Nice mild tea that I have any time of day. Will buy again... and keep hunting.Update:I still am purchasing this tea and have found the flavor to be consistent. I have never received an open box. Enjoy that each bag is paper wrapped so it is easy to throw in my purse and go. Other bags have no protection other than the exterior box. I have had a few coworkers try this tea and they all seem to have a positive reaction.

Very high quality tea, Organic and delicious!

It is supposed to have a rice flavor that comes from the toasted rice ( or its smoke) but it hardly tastes toasted rice flavor. If you use 1 teabag for a small 100 Cc cup it you may notice it tastes subtly different from plain green tea , meh...I have had those restaurant-sized big toasted rice-green tea bags before and they tasted great ,not very strong ( and therefore synthetic) but very noticeable. Unfortunately I could not find them online so ordered this one since i thought it is the same brand ( written in Japanese) but I am not satisfied with it and won't buy it again.

A friend of mine introduced me to this tea, and I now drink it daily. It has literally gotten me through the pandemic. It's subtle nutty flavor overrides any bitter green tea taste. After I have a cup, I feel a little bit brighter and calmer. It's the perfect cup of tea for the afternoon or late morning.

I ordered the tea more than a month ago but it has never arrived. Too bad because I've had brown rice tea in Japanese restaurants and usually loved it.
