Pretty good
I just wanted a simple pair of inexpensive headphones (so I don't feel badly if they get trashed) to use with my iPod Touch while walking the dog for about an hour a day. I was also looking for comfort and a decent sound. I got my research down to 2: these or the JVC HAS160 Flats. I ordered these because, like the JVC's, they also fold flat. They're also about the same price (pretty cheap). The JVC's had more reviews - that also raved about their sound - but these headphones had other options that I was looking for. Namely, a volume control on the cord, and also just a single cord rather than one coming from each earpiece. The other advantage to these headphones is that, unlike the JVC's, the earpiece isn't padded as much. The advantage to that is that while walking during hot summers my ears won't sweat as much. And they're thin enough that I can wear them under a hat when it's cold. I've been wearing them that way since I received them and they're pretty comfortable. I also ordered the replacement pads by Koss that Amazon sells ($4 for 3 pairs). I like the idea of replacing the ear padding when they get all sweaty. (Koss also says these earpads are washable.) Still, the padding isn't super thick and may rip or wear out eventually so I'd suggest getting the replacement pads. The earpieces are also a smaller size than some other headphones, so I don't look like an air traffic controller! Each earpiece is about 2 inches around and about 1 inch deep. The folded size of this headphone is about 6.5 inches high by 6 inches wide by 1 inch deep. Just FYI.As far as the sound, I admit I'm not enough of an audiophile to tell the difference between good sound or exceptional sound. To me, these headphones sound as good as the ear buds that came with my iPod, which I find too uncomfortable to wear.If you've been researching headphones then you're aware they come in different types. These are not advertised as completely blocking out external sound, which works for me since I'd like to know if a person or vehicle is coming up behind me. (You'd think my dog would alert me to that, but she's too busy pulling the leash hither and yon - our walks are more of an Olympic event.) Yet these headphones stay in place during the process. They're adjustable and stay where I've set them.As far as quality and durability I have no other headphones to compare them to, nor have I owned them long enough to comment on their life-expectancy. Of course they're inexpensive so I don't expect them to be indestructible. Still, the quality isn't bad at all. (Koss has a lifetime warranty, which wouldn't cover them getting trashed but would cover something like one of the earpieces losing sound etc. Not that I'd bother sending them back since these were so inexpensive, but I like warranties.)

Decent headphones for hte price
This is my second purchase of these headphones. They give good sound, and because of the low price, I don't mind using them while working out when sweat might work its way in and corrode things. Volume control is good.Three complaints, one maybe not always applicable: 1) the foam pads come off too easily -- makes it irritating when pulling out of a pocket or backpack; 2) the frame could be a little wider; I find that the frame touches my head and doesn't allow the earpieces to sit firmly on the ears. This could be an unusual problem due to head shape. They might fit you fine. 3) The cord seems unnecessarily long and can be a hassle if you're wearing the phones while working or working out.
