The book is fine, the DRM is the problem.
There should be no reason why anyone who purchases digital books from Amazon are restricted from copying quotes or restricted from using a read aloud options because of DRMs. From now on I'll order my school books in advance from sites that don't restrict the consumers/owners of digital books. In addition to highlighting book sections, purchasers should be able to cut and paste citations directly form the text. Purchasers should be able to access read aloud options for books which don't have an Audible option on their devices. The book is dense but easily understood, but this review is about that DRM and the frustration of not being able to control the products ordered. I won't make the mistake again.

Did not like...
This book was required text for an undergraduate international human rights course. I did not enjoy it--for many reasons. Complex concepts and ideas were not made simple. I found it not very interesting for a topic of interest to me.

Thought provoking
This has been a very thought provoking book. I've appreciated the review of the history and have found the case studies to be especially helpful.
