I am a 75 year old fellow with diminishing physical abilities but full mental faculties. I managed to complete the installation with only minor difficulty. I was working alone and positioning and holding the bars in place to mark the hole locations on slippery ceramic tiles. This was challenging. One bar, placed vertically, was installed with good results for security and appearance. The second bar was placed horizontally on the side wall. I managed to get it installed securely but a1/4 inch drop at one end could be seen. It did not occur to me to use tape to hold the bars in place for hole positioning until after the job was finished.

Had to use other hardware than what it came with. Directions were almost non existent. Worried it's going to fail at the bolt in point. Its extremely easy to over tighten and strip the threads.

The screws are too tiny and too short to really secure grab bars, the threads of the two nuts easily slipped.

We ordered 2 12” bars and 2 16” bars and as you can see, the 16” were exactly the same as the 12”. The box they came in was different but the length was exactly the same. We paid $5-6 more for the “longer” ones.

The directions for putting these up are not that great. We could see from the one picture that there were holes in the mounting plate but no holes.. It took us a few minutes to discover that plate was sitting inside the cover plate to a couple hard to get out of there. A picture showing the 2 separate parts would have been helpful. Also for some, instruction about making sure the covers are on the bar before attaching it to the wall.
