Great quality plastic play food!
I was debating between these and the Melissa and Doug foods but ended up sticking with the learning resources stuff because I have 2 little boys who I figured would end up using the wooden foods as weapons. These baskets are great! Most of the foods are close to actual size and have vibrant colors. My boys love to "cook" and these baskets of food were perfect for them! Love the baskets as well we use them in the fridge to store the foods plus use them for "shopping" and sorting the foods by type or color or whatever we are working on that day. I did end up pulling the celery sticks as my boys are only 1 and 2. I do believe it is a bit pricey for what you get but am pleased with the quality so I guess it is fine.Overall a super fun bundle of play food that I expect to last for years!

Met my expectations. Sturdy.
I really like the quality of this play food. It is just enough for play and 75% of it is rubber-like material, which should last for a long time, especially in the classroom. Though it was an expensive set for the amount of food, I was willing to pay more for a durable product. I am pleased. This set did include the spaghetti.

Gets played with constantly!
This food is very realistic looking and life sized. The baskets they came with are awesome! My daughter can carry the food around and it keeps all the multiple pieces organized. I liked this set because there were no cakes or cookies, so playing with the food didn't make my daughter whine for sweets. My daughter received this for her fourth birthday as well as some barbies and sticker books. She played with the barbies a few hours and the sticker books a few hours and these every day for the next month.

Decent. Definitely not Learning Resources best quality, but better than other play food
The lunch basket is the best one in this set.Breakfast: the pankcakes and English muffin look repulsive. The pancakes are shiny; they would look a lot better if the were matte and a different color brown. The English muffin- I just don't know if there could be hope for that piece, I'll probably throw it away. The cup of orange juice just looks and feels cheap; the glue holding the 'juice' in the cup is very noticeable. The strawberries are thin and don't feel very durable, the banana in about the size of a real piece of fruit, the yogurt wrapper was half way off the cup but was easily pressed back into place. The egg yolks are a pale yellow.Lunch: everything in this basket is AMAZING! The milk carton is thick, durable, rubbery plastic. I absolutely love that piece! The lettuce leaf is huge; the tomato, turkey and cheese slices are nice and thick; the fruit and bread are great quality.Dinner: the cup of milk is the same quality as the orange juice and the glue is just as noticeable. The peas and beans are hard plastic; the carrots are flimsy and shiny; the spaghetti noodles are awesome, the sauce is thin and feels cheap (but it also sits on top of the noodles and can be removed, which I like).Learning Resources has better quality food, but this set still out does the other brands found in stores and online. If you aren't familiar with the quality of Learning Resources, then you have no idea what you're missing with this set. I do recommend this although some of the pieces feel lower quality than what I expected from this company. My 3 year old son loves it and that's really what matters.

Not What I expected
After purchasing the Pretend and Play Rise and Shine Breakfast Setby Learning Resources, I was disappointed with this set.The Rise & Shine set food is higher in quality, and when I readthe other reviews about this set saying that it was high quality,I was expecting it to be like the other set. That being said, it's not.The other set has the eggs and bacon that are really bendable(the egg folds to fit in the egg shell). The waffles, bread and pancakes have weight to them sothey feel more real (to me at least).I didn't even know what all of the food I would be getting was.So you know, in this set you get...Breakfast-an egg, banana, English Muffin, pancake, bowl of strawberries, yogurt, glass of juiceLunch-2 slices of bread, 2 slices of meat, lettuce, tomato, 2 pretzels, an orange, a glass of milkDinner-a chicken breast, slice of french bread, potato, peas, 2 small carrots, purple grapes, glass of milkCons-egg is not as bendable as Rise & Shine set, pancake looks weird, strawberries are cheap plastic, yogurt lid does not come off, glass of juice looks cheap-glass of milk looks cheap, orange is harder plastic-potato and peas are cheap plastic, the carrots are really small-in the picture online, there is food in the basket and in front of it, but what you really get is mainly what is sitting in front, plus maybe one more piece-it doesn't seem like much food for the amount of money-it shows spaghetti, celery, and apples in the picture, but you don't get thosePros-food is a good size-it is a higher quality plastic than most play food-the sandwich is a great texture-it comes with 3 baskets that are a good size

Cute, safe, educational, fun
This is a great product. Exactly as advertised. The quality is great. I use these in my high school Spanish classes. The kids love them. They are great for play at home too. A great variety and no weird smells.

Great quality!
Most of the food was very realistic (except the pancakes and English muffin?). My son loved this for his play kitchen. He is a very picky eater and I got this to try to get him to eat healthier. Its working so far! He has eaten a few new things when I put it side by side with the fake one. So happy I purchased this set. Will definitely buy from this company again!

Quality play food
The best quality play food around. Nothing unhealthy in this pack! Some of the pieces are small. I have to watch my toddler with the carrots, especially. Overall, very happy with the purchase.
