Bought as a birthday gift for my trained butcher and chef son-in-law. His review was a quality blade, easy to handle and felt good in the hand.

I use this knife mainly for salads - both fruit & vegetable. My first purchase of this type of knife was a "Henckels" brand that cost more than this one. It was very uncomfortable because the back of the knife had sharp edges & the blade was not even sharp. I returned it the next day. I chose a "Dalstrong" & I'm glad I did.Initially, I thought the handle was too smooth & might become slippery if my hands got wet. I was surprised to find that the handle was not slippery & when my hands were wet, my grip became more secure. Out of the box, the knife was very sharp; I tested it with a store receipt, which is very soft paper. It cut slices of it as if sharp scissors were used. While making a large salad this evening, I found the knife to be very comfortable to use & it went through thick-skinned lemons & onions with very little effort. The top of the blade is comfortable with a pinch grip & the weight & balance with the 7-inch blade is just right. After washing & drying the knife, I checked it's sharpness & found it to be just as sharp as it was when new.The knife came in a classy gift box with a blade guard, a pin to lock the guard in place, a metal pin/tie clip with the company's logo, a polishing cloth & a "Care & Use" guide as well as descriptions & photos of the company's other knives. I will definitely be ordering more Dalstrong knives in the future.

I am really disappointed with the packaging...the knife was already opened by someone because it had fingerprints on the blade..and the box itself was in a bad shape ...I already bought 2 knives from dalstrong Gladiator series and I know how the packaging should look..impeccable...but this time no...so I send the knife back..

Ich habe das breite Dalstrong Phantom Messer jetzt 6 Wochen ausgiebig getestet und es ist mein Lieblingsmesser geworden.Ich habe absolute hochwertige Messer von Kai und sogar ein Nesmuk High End Messer.Das Dalstrong ist extrem schart und ideal für alle Schnippelarbeiten an Tomaten, Fleisch oder Zwiebeln.Die "Schaufelfunktion" mit dem breiten Messer ist schon echt genial. Gerade mit dem umschichten von z.B. Schnittlauch in die Salatschüssel ist einfach genial. Erst schneiden, dann schaufeln..Das ist sehr praktisch, das geht mit Tomaten, Zwiebel und allen möglichen Kräutern.Ich wollte es einfach mal wissen und habe das Messer für ein hartes, frischen Krustenbrot verwendet, es geht durch wie Butter.Von mir 100% Weiterempfehlung, habe noch das 12 cm Universalmesser von Dalstrong bestellt, auch sehr gut.
