YOU'RE DOING IT ALL WRONG
Pro tips: so you don't have to make the same mistakes that I made.1. Be sure to apply activator 1 time, buff and shape THEN apply activator again before applying top coat so there will be no white "bubbles" or ashiness in the polish only true vibrant color.2. Always use a clear or sheer color powder layer OVER a solid color powder layer BEFORE applying the top coat. It will bring out the shine in the top coat.3. Always apply a layer or 2 of clear OR colored powder UNDER glitter powder and then applya layer or 2 of clear powder over any glitter dip powder BEFORE adding the top coat.4. You will need a good dehydrator and primer before applying the base coat so the dip powder won't lift and the manicure will last longer. I'm testing this step which is why I only gave 4 stars. If I can get it to last 2 weeks, I will up my review score. You're welcome! And Happy dipping ;)

Long lasting and easy to use
Lasted 2 weeks before chipping or lifting! I'm generally rough on my nails, but this dip powder holds up very well. Generally easy to use, but I would definitely recommend trimming/ pushing back your cuticles- otherwise it becomes a messy process. I also buffed and used a dehydrator before doing my nails. When applying the top coat, the brush does gets a little clumpy for whatever reason, but the brush saver takes care of that. Powder does seem to go everywhere, but I just did my nails on top of a piece of paper for easy clean up.

Amazing Starter Kit!
This is the fourth Beetles starter kit that I’ve purchased as well as a “Refill kit” that was just 12 powders. Their formula is great. I’ve had some issues with the top coat drying with a blotchy matte finish, but I’ve figured out that was my error. It’s from using too much activator or not letting it dry and evaporate long enough. Give it a solid 10 minutes or so, don’t get the nails wet while waiting(we all try to multitask at the wrong times). For glitters I strongly recommend Beetles clear dip powder on top to encapsulate the glitter so that you aren’t filing it off. For the mani pictured(sorry I didn’t get a better photo, I ended up having emergency gallbladder removal the next day!) I first did a thin coat of clear over my natural nails, 2 thin layers of the solid black, 1 dip of the glittered black, and another layer of clear. It’s been over 2 weeks and it’s still just as shiny. I did my nail prep well, I use 70% rubbing alcohol as a dehydrator, so I don’t have any lifting or chipping.

Affordable, easy to use, great colors!
I previously used a dip set from Sallys. Didn't like the colors, fumes, the base. This set from Beetles is not only super cute, packaged with everything you need, but it is also very easy and precise to apply, even on short, wider nails like mine. You get very good coverage after two coats, I did three. I followed their instructions to the T and didn't have any issues. Base dries fast, you don't have a lot of time to work with it, but by the time I started on my other hand, I was in the groove already. The colors are very nice, very pigmented. Usually any sort of dip or gel doesn't stay long or my nails, because I work, clean and don't baby them. I will update after to see how they wear and how easy they remove. I used MelodySusie e drill to prep the nail and shape them before top coat. Very happy so far!*Update after 10 days of wear:I reshaped them on day seven and there was no lifting anywhere and two tiny tiny chips only on the top coat, not the dip itself. I am beyond impressed.Day 10 I decided to take them off. I filled down with efile, then used 96% acetone to remove the rest. The soak off took maybe three to five minutes and it just wipes off. My nails seemed to be in the same condition as before I used it. I used another lighter color. This one didn't apply as easy as the first one. Almost like the powder was too finely milled and going on too thin and uneven. I had to do more than three coats. Still the end result is really nice. I didn't realize how similar these lighter colors are, it would be nicer if there was more variety for the colors it goes from white to various light shades to a dark brown. Two lighter ones could be removed for two medium tone ones for a perfect set. Let see how long these last, I will try for two weeks.

My nails look great
I really enjoy this product and the colors are all really pretty. I have now had them on for a week and a half with no chipping! My only issue is they are lifting a bit at the bottoms, so I will be removing soon. I think with practice I can avoid this in the future. I’m giving 4 stars because I received a used product. Amazon was not very helpful but I contacted the company and they offered to send me a new kit or give me a refund. I really appreciated their customer service and I think the product is great! I have gotten so many compliments on the colors and 3 of my friends ordered this kit when they saw my nails. It’s helping me grow my natural nails so long!Update: I just redid them (with the pink) and the process is much easier with some practice. I really would recommend this kit

Really fantastic!
I'm disabled and have had my nails done professionally and years of doing my own with everything from press on, acrylic, gel, polygel... And I have to say as far as ease and accessibility of use this is the absolute best option. The product looks great and creates a hard bond protecting my very very fragile nails. I followed the instructions and have used it a number of times now and I have to say I'm just so impressed. It requires less shaping than acrylic but it's more firm than polygel. The thinness is also a nice plus. Also compared to acrylics the smell factor is way better. There is still some smell but it's less offensive and doesn't linger. Those two things in particular is why as a disabled person in really excited about this product. It's affordable and I can do it on my own without a ton of strain on my body. Also because it dries so quickly I can take breaks as needed!I wish I could afford to buy this set in every color.
