While these work great to open jars my main purpose was to keep bowls and such from slipping on plates.My husband and I eat more than a few meals in front of the TV. We eat a lot of soup in the cooler monthsand I needed something to keep our cups or bowls from sliding all over the plate. Here was my answer. Ihave fiestaware and use the jumbo cups with the luncheon plate and the 6-1/4 size fits perfect. I alsoordered Andreas JO-23.Not only do they function well,they look nice. So pleased to have found these.

I have severe Arthritis in both hands, and have tried just about every jar opener on the planet! This one is my favorite! I had one in plain black rubber that I have "guarded" for many years. Now, I found these in beautiful designs! They are so fun... I ordered one to keep in my desk, and in the bathroom for all the things that need to be opened! They're Amazing and fun! They make great hostess gifts too!

While I realize these are meant to open jars and they do, however I bought them to place on dinner plates when we havesoup or anything that you would use a bowl for. It keeps the bowl secure. We usually eat in front of the TV and there isno sliding bowls on our plate. They are also nice looking on a plate. Just love them.

It is unbelievable how useful this item is. It is easily accessible, because it sticks to the fridge. Every single time we've used it to open a jar we have been successful. It is very helpful for people who have arthritis.

These little mats are the best way to remove lids from jars, water bottles, difficult light bulbs, etc. I use it with the slick side touching the lid, and I hold on to the bumpy side to make it work. There's really nothing else like it that I've been able to find.

I have what is being advertised but wanted another one, as the first one is getting worn out. I'm extremely disappointed to get something I did not order. The one I received is similar but smaller and thinner. In my picture, the one with smaller cupcakes is what I received. The one with bigger cucakes is what's advertised and what I wanted.

This opener works pretty good, but the grip seems to not be as good over time. Had this a while and it seems like it worked a lot better when I first got it.

Love this. It's beautiful looking! It's also thin, flexible and very large making it functional for just about anything you need to get a really good grip on to open.
