Way better sound quality than expecting from a pocket sized Kalimba
My sister wanted a 21 key Kalimba for birthday present so I ordered the gecko 21 key made with camphor wood and she loved it. I took piano lessons 40+ years ago and taught piano. My musical instrument of choice was the Native American flute made of ash wood but after two injuries to my left hand I can no longer pla my instrument of choice. snapped ligamentsand broken left index fingerI watched my sister play the Kalimba so that Got me looking for a Kalimba small enough to play with one hand. So l bought this little 8 key version and the sound quality is much better than expected From such a tiny little Kalimba. VERY IMPRESSED.If you are interested in a Kalimba l can personally recommend the brand Gecko. I have also heard high praise for the brands Kimi, and linguTing

adorable instrument
I've been wanting to learn kalimba for a while and I was debating on which one to get. I'll admit I wound up picking this to start out with for its cute little tassle. You'll need something small like a paperclip to get it through the holes. There's 3 so you have the option for where to hang it. The kalimba is nice to hold though if you have large hands going for a 17 or 21 key is probably better. It came already tuned so its easy to jump right in. There's a few songs in the guide they give you. The titles are not in english but its numbered to match the key tabs on the kalimba. I'm so excited to learn! If you want a case that's more sturdy than the draw string pouch, hard drive cases are the right size for it.

EXCELLENT portable Kalimba -- but beware the scale
This is an amazing Kalimba that plays like it's much, much more expensive than it is. Astonishing sound quality and resonance for such a tiny size. BUT, be aware that this is NOT tuned to a major scale -- take a look at the pictures of the tines (and the notation on them) before purchasing.

First time player
I'm not musically inclined at all. I saw this tiny kimbala and bought it on a whim. I love it. The keys are easy to play and the sound is melodious. It's not a very loud instrument and can easily fit in a purse for tinkering on the go. Excellent purchase.

Great gift for all ages!!!
I bought this for my three yo son to learn how to pay. He loves it not hard to stroke the keys especially for his little fingers, it's perfect. Very easy to learn! I also purchased a larger one for my 18 yo son who is already playing various musical instruments. Great gift for all ages!!!

Great for kids and not annoying
You know all those very annoying instruments kids play badly? This isn't one of them. Even when he's being obnoxious it's quite and has a pleasant tone. It's very relaxing and fun to play with.

Early delivery, good value, B-tone
Purchased it 3 weeks ago. Delivery arrived 2 weeks early so pretty happy about that. There was a strong eucalyptus smell from the box, which I didn’t mind. The instrument was pretty well-made in my opinion and the sounds were clear. The only feedback that I have is that the advertising should have made it clear that the instrument is in B-tone, not C. It was hard to see just from the pictures.Took a bit of time to adapt to the tabs for tone C.Overall, pretty happy with the purchase.
