What the ever loving Mary and Joseph was that ending!!. The wordS I have can't be said. My anxiety is through the roof. I'm traumatised.This is phenomenal. Like everything I wished for and then some. It answered ALOT of questions and even gave us more information that I wasn't aware of which was the best surprise.Mera and Shadow are everything. They fight over anything and everything. It's a power trip for sure but in the best ways. And all it does is pour fuel on their already burning inferno that is the tensions between them. It's explosive. The connection they have is palpable through the pages and I loved that we get to see a more vulnerable side to them both together. The bickering, the banter, the teasing... The sneaky smiles and stolen kisses. I just loved their whole hate to love eachother vibe.This is just phenomenal world building. A seamlessly story that packs a punch with a ever evolving plot that continued the draw me in consuming me in all the crazy, the outrages and the down right shocking shenanigans. Multidimensional characters with so much personality and depth I can read a book on every single one of them. They bring a fresh perspective and endless entertainment to the journey.This book was a ROLLERCOASTER. I laughed, ranted and raved. I swooned at the sweet and was shook to the core and the mic drop moments. It's climactic, suspenseful, action packed, hilarious, tension filled and fast paced. It's a crazy ride with a overload of information and emotions but it's the first pnr series in a hot minutes that has me so excited for what comes next. It's such a unique original world with depthy interesting characters.. I'm just fascinated.I cannot believe that ending. Honestly I could not pick my jaw up off the floor and I will always be traumatised by it. It's a cliffy like no other and it left me feeling so raw at the cheek of it but I'm so excited to see where the last book goes because hell have no fury like a scorned beast and we all know Shadow's wrath will be lethal. ICAN'TWAIT.

I love reading but I truly am a lazy soul & a book either has to be fab or dire for me to bother writing a review. I stumbled across this author with an Amazon advert & I am so glad I did. Lots of authors at present use lazy writing ( lots of repeats in their 2nd book), poor dialogue & plots with holes so big I could drive my car through. Not this series. Jaymin has obviously put a lot of effort into planning this series ...& it shows. A delight to read a book by someone who can actually write.Quite a complex plot so you cannot read the 2nd as a stand alone. It is also not a book that you can read in one long sitting or you will miss the finer points. This book is never slow & is full of twists & excitement. Steamy sex that does not detract from the storyline but enhances it. Lovely interesting dynamic between the two main characters. My only complaint.....the cliff hanger at the end ...I felt like I had run a marathon only for someone to move the finish line. Yes ...it really is that good.I won't give you an outline of the book as that it what the blurb is for . What I will say is if like me you rely on star rating reviews ...this would be a six if I could give it that.

I had really been looking forward to this book.Honestly I loved most of it. I loved the reveals with Mera and how her relationship progresses with Shadow.That ending that. Oh my god. I was on board with all the twists and turns throughout the book but the ending is what knocked a star of my review. At the moment it feels like a really unnecessary turn of events and cliffhanger.This doesn't turn me off reading book three when it is released, I will 100% be reading that when it's OK. But it did leave me with the feeling of SERIOUSLY?!Looking past what I consider a totally unnecessary twist to the end (I get it, it's setting you up for the plot of book 3 but still) I love how the book keeps up the same balance of humour, action, suspense, sex and romance.

Bloody hell! That was a rollercoaster. Better than the first book and what an ending! No spoilers here; you'll have to read the book for yourself but suffice it to say I did not see that twist coming. So good and so frustrating! I want the next book now.This is the second book in the Shadow Beast trilogy. This series was my introduction to Jaymin Eve's work and she's already up there with my favourite authors. I love her style of writing and the character development. Her characters are believable, relatable and I found myself invested in them pretty quickly. The story moves at a fast pace and at times I found myself racing through the pages along with the characters.If you've already read book one (Rejected), you won't need persuading to dive into this book. If you haven't read book one, what are you waiting for? Go and get it. Treat yourself.As for me, I'm going to sit with my book hangover until book three comes out in March.

4.5 Stars - “Shadowshine is exactly how I see us.. One too dark, the other too light, and nothing but destructive storms between us.” Heck yea!Such a brutal cliffhanger ending but wow... This book was so freakin’ good. I’m in love with the story, the humour and all that sizzling sexual tension good stuff.The world building which has always been one of Jaymin’s strong suits is detailed and amazing. The heroine is strong,snarky and likeable without being a complete Mary Sue.Shadow is a flaming sexy and delicious Alpha-hole. His character has grown steadily and I’m digging him a whole lot. Need I say more? *Drools*I need everything to be okay in the next book. Fix it Jesus. Like seriously that ending pee’d me off and needs to be rectified. But I have faith.

El segundo libro me gustó más que el primero, más intenso, muy buena trama. Interesante historia para aquellos atraídos hacia el lado oscuro y misterioso.

Foi ruim ter que traduzir capítulo por capítulo mas o livro é muito bom e a escrita é fluida com cenários eletrizantes, uma protagonistas engraçada com reações infantis para a idade mais como um todo funciona kkk

My last thought..Nooooo i cant wait to start the next book, i love this series, great storyline, last chapter a bit rushed but amazing book again

ASAP!If you want a BLAZING, tantalizing, teasing, sexy, dangerous, and deliciously dark and STEAMY ROMANCE with demons magic sexy male leads and a bada** sunny side up, impulsive, sarcastic, crass but classy and honest female protagonist who takes no s*it from ANYONE!!Not even a very broody and painfully sexy Shadow Bastar— I meant SHADOW BEAST ;)THEN READ THE BOOK!!! Disregard the dislike of the ending for this particular book in the series because hunny the third book will TOTALLY be worth our wait, time, and attention! So what it’s a cliff hanger lol !! Mera will not stand for these turn of events, and quite frankly neither will her Shadow BASTARD! Come on people have some faith in our new favorite hot and steamy couple!!!And IN all seriousness I couldn’t put my phone down! I was absolutely captivated! The world building, and the character’s unique and throughly conveyed personalities were so vividly portrayed! I absolutely loved every single line, word, and page! Such a unique spin and story line! trust me you won’t be disappointed!!! Ugh I literally loved everything! I don’t have a single complaint! I’m so glad I found this series and I shall patiently await for my book #3.

This is the second book in Jaymin Eve's Shadow Beast Shifters series. I love the author's overall writing style and have read other books of hers. This series is my favorite so far!The first installment took me some time to get into, but I am so glad I stuck it out! The plot and character development really picked up in the last half, so much so, that I had to set all my notifications to alert me the INSTANT book 2 released so I could get my dirty paws on it!I love the world concept! The worlds off the library, the unique supportive/secondary characters, the EMOTION Eve evokes while traversing the heroine's journey with her. We get deeper insight into Shadow.... he's my new book boyfriend. There are delicious plot twists, and book ends in a cliffhanger. All I can say, is Jaymin has said to hang in there for book 3 because not all is as it seems!Will be nursing a major book hangover until the final book is released in March.Well done!
