My ride, I love you

By mere happenstance did I discover this novel. I believe it was on Twitter originally during the winter where an I followed retweeted some casting call photos from auditions for My Ride the Series. From there I decided to follow the series more closely and discovered that the original author was a gay man, I became excited. After reading the first few sample chapters Dr Pat provided I fell in love with the story. It's a story of two men who by chance become friends and develop their feelings further. It's told in alternating perspective between chapters which gives you a more intimate connection to the narrative as you see their thought process while they figure things out for themselves and learn what they want, what they need, and how approach it. What really becomes the icing on the cake for me, is that this is a Thai BL novel that doesn't take place in a first or second year university setting. If you're familiar with Thai BL novels or drama series you know how prevalent of a setting this is. Also the story doesn't come across as overly romanticized, fantasized, or festishized like some other novels I've encountered. It's down to earth while still being able to create the escapism we crave.

There is so much I can say about this book, but first, I have to say that the friendship between Tawan and Nadia is GOALS x100! I wish I had a friend like him! Mork and Tawan's relationship begins as a customer-taxi driver, to friends then eventually lovers. Though it doesn't have a conventional start, their progression is natural and doesn't feel forced or rushed. A lot of the book is so relatable, whether you are straight or gay. As someone who has been in a bad break up, some of the book really spoke to me.The story had it sweet moments, as well as sad. Everything fit really well, and the relationship and character development was great! If you are looking for steamy scenes, there aren't any, but it is so wonderful it doesn't need anything else to promote it except the story and characters itself.I heard it's being made into a drama, and I can't wait! I hope they translate this author's other books. This a great read if you are looking for something fun and sweet to read.

I just simply can't put a rating lower than 5 stars. The story got me hooked from the start to finish.Being a BL novel, it's really hard to find a story that's not in high school or in the university. But this background, specially the one of Mork make this story very fresh, felt real, I felt very identified, and was well written.I want to congratulate and say Thank you to the author for making this story and translator for an awesome job in translating this book.And if there is any BL (M/M) fan story don't think twice and read this. You'll fall for Mork & Tawan, and with their development as the story goes.

I loved this book so much! To me, Mork is the heart, the soul, and the comedy of this book. His inquisitive nature is hilarious and touching. Trying to come to terms with his own feelings made me fall in love. And his desire to make his love about making Tawan happy, had me crying. If we could all have a man like that! I would also love a best friend like Nadia. He had his own issues but loves Tawan so much. I hope other books by this author get translated as well. Thank you!

I really liked this book, I had bought it a while back but never got around to rating it. I recommend everyone that watches the now released series to read this book. Mork is adorable and Tawan is funny and relatable. Nadia is such a bad bitch 😂, I love him. The story is short but sweet, I like how all the emotions are described. The story flows so smoothly and so much wisdom given as well. I can't wait until the rest of the books are out, I will read them all.

Honestly loved it soo much . My only complaint was it was too short. I personally need more nadia obviously, and more or of mork and tawan's story. But if there is a sequel to this story, then its all good and i cant wait to read it. it was super enjoyable seeing both sides of the same love story.

I really enjoyed this book , it was my first time reading a Thai-to-English translated book . I enjoyed the addition of the footnotes, because I learned some more about Thai culture as I read the story . This really made me want to eat some Thai food though .

Came across this by complete mistake while looking for other titles. So happy i gave it a chance. My only regret with this purchase is how fast I went through it. Looking forward to reading more from this author, the insights found in My Ride, I Love You were meaningful and felt in many ways to be easily applicable to my own experiences. I truly hope there is a sequel to this wonderful story.

I really enjoyed this story. I hope the tv series will be as good as the book and they keep the original ending

with no plot holes. An excellent translation.

Thanks, since I heard this book will become a new drama thai I search for all abut the book, because I like dramas but is better the book, then I found the first eight chapters and then the author say we need to wait because he are working in the english version, I think this will be out until the drama finished, but what is my surprise yesterday... he out more faster and this is the best lovely, real history who can pass in the real world, thanks for this...i love it completely ... I recomended totally this history.

This is only the third Thai BL novel I’ve read but it was the best of them. The translation was quite good (way better than Behind The Scenes) and there is an emotional depth to the story that was really gratifying. It is a very wholesome story and a slow burn which might not be to everyone’s liking, but I loved it! Really good!

And here comes one of the best Thai BL novels ever written, with a story which is naturally developed, two interesting main characters, and sweetness, and, the most important, far away from toxic relationships we can read in so many novels.If you look for a sweet story about how to be a better person thanks to love, this is your book.
