Interesting addition to any ink collection
J. Herbin's Vert Reseda is a fun color. Not quite green, not quite blue. Too dark to be a pastel- "aquamarine", maybe? When I look at the writing it conjures up images of mint candy. Whatever words you feel describes it best, it's sure to be a minty addition to your ink repertoire.Like other inks in the line, it tends to be wetter, slower drying, and has no sheen.

Very light, minty green
When I decided to add a green ink to my collection, I did some research and found this one. In a video where I saw it featured, it looked like a sumptuous, deep jewel-tone teal. I bought a bottle that day.Unfortunately, what I found when it arrived and I inked up is that it actually lays down a very, very light mint green and dries even lighter. It's not neon or lime green - it has more depth than that - but it's much lighter than I expected. I don't particularly care for the color at all.In terms of characteristics, standard J Herbin fare here: lovely, smoothly flowing, slightly thin ink with terrific packaging and a nice pedigree. I really enjoy J Herbin inks, but this color just isn't for me.

Ink color barely even shows up.
I've tried about five J. Herbin inks and all of them are quite subtle and unsaturated. With some of their colors, this works. But not with Vert Reseda. It is so light it's difficult to read. The color is not pleasant to my eyes. I also found it quite dry. On the plus side, there's no ghosting even on cheap copier paper. I advise you to pass this ink by.
