ASL Flash Cards - Learn Signs for Animals & Colors - English, Spanish and American Sign Language (American Sign Language Flash Cards, Beginner) (English and Spanish Edition) Cards – September 30, 2005

I'm using these cards with my 3 1/2 year old who is starting to learn some sign language, beyond the basics of "more," "please," and "thank you" that he learned as a baby. There are 28 cards, with the English and Spanish word on the front with a picture describing the word, and on the back it shows and tells you how to sign it. This being my first experience learning sign language, I'm able to follow the illustrations fairly easily and sign it out. Then my son repeats the sign after me. The Spanish is also nice to have as I can teach him both the sign and the Spanish word as we go through them.There are five of these sets in all. This set focuses on animals and colors. The cards included in this set are:Bee, Bird, Black, Blue, Brown, Cat, Color, Cow, Dog, Duck, Fish, Gray, Green, Hippo, Horse, Monkey, Mouse, Orange, Pink, Purple, Rabbit, Red, Snake, Squirrel, Tiger, White, Worm, YellowI would definitely recommend these for kids or any beginner who wants to expand their signing vocabulary.

These cards came in a very nice cardboard container. Card quality is durable and sturdy. Nice colors. It nice how they not onlyshow the sign but expound with written explanation as well. I teach high school, therefore, theses cards will be handled a lot. It'snice to have the written part to supplement the signs. I get called upon a lot less to explain further the sign's movement.

Our 20 month old really enjoys sign language and these cards have only encouraged his interest!! He learned them soo quickly and gets so excited at the mention of "flash cards!"The cards are very clear, bright, and are pretty durable... the description photos and instructions on the black are very easy to understand. The only thing that suprised me is that "pig" is not included in the animals, where as "snake" and "worm", or "bee" were. I realize you have to cut it off somewhere! : ) Minor detail, but I will absolutely continue with these Sign2Me flash cards!

I LOVE these cards! They're so cute. I didn't even use them for the sign language part as much as I did for first words. Unfortunately we haven't mastered colors yet at ALL but we are getting there. These cards help a lot. I would recommend them because the pics are cute and easy to see.

Wonderful cards! The signs are accurate and easy to understand. I think they provide a good variety of words. I bought these for my husband and caregiver to use with my son because they do not know sign. I've enjoyed flipping through the cards with him and letting him explore the picture and learn the sign at the same time.

Fun and easy to learn. My son has autism and with these cards he is learning so quickly how to sign all the animals and his colors. I'm so happy that I found these cards. My older son, my husband, and me are also learning with him. Couldn't be happier with these cards

i bought this for my grandson who is two he loves learning new words and every night he grabs his cards and we learn sign together. and through out the evening we play a game of signing. one starts it off and we sign to see if the other one still knows the words. he really enjoys the art of signing even though he has no idea that it is a special way of talking.

Wonderful learning tool for my grandson, I actually ordered additional cards for my new grand baby. Flash cards have always worked as a learning tool on my children and now I'm using the same technique for my grandchildren.
