afforable
Our windows were an odd size and older so trying to find a perfect screen match was a hassle. This diy screen was affordable and very easy to assemble. It looks great on the window. I was able to complete this independently, in less than a half hour. You will have extra material left over depending on how size kit you get. I was actually able to get another small framed window screen out of it (minus the corner clips).

VERY NICE!
I have a large casement window where the screen had seen better days. Also when I want to open the window its always stuck and I have to partially take the screen off so I can push the window open a little. So I needed a new screen and found this item. The installation went off pretty well but the handle mechanism was at the bottom right up against where the magnetic tape had to go. I was able to route the tape slightly up around the handle and the white trim tape was able to conform to the bend. I was not able to get the trim tape near the handle to connect into the mag tape but when I took the screen off to trim the excess i was able to use a pliers to press the trim tape into the mag tape. I also needed to use the pliers to do the same thing in a few other places. Speaking of the pliers, I also used them to press on the corners and that worked out very well. The only negative on the parts was the included screening. It was pretty good quality but because it would have been impractical to ship it rolled up it was folded up in the box. I took it out and laid it on the floor and the folds were very visible. Leaving it on the floor overnight the folds were still very visible and I knew I would not be able to get a lot of tension on the mounted screen as you would if using spline. Luckily I had a lot of regular screening in a roll and used that instead. Yes, there are some folds in the finished screen, especially around the handle but overall its VERY NICE. Especially for the price ($25 on sale). IMPORTANT TIP: As soon as you get it take all the rolled items and unroll and stretch them on the floor, especially the white trim tape, to get the curviness out of them. I left them over night stretched out and it really helped during installation.

Seemed Like A Good Idea At The Time
This screen arrangement allows you to cover a window with a screen that attaches magnetically. First you put magnetic strips along the edges of the window frame; these strips have adhesives. Then you put magnetic strips on the screen according to the dimensions of the window. After that, the magnetic strips will hold the screen to the window. This is great, until you need to open or close the window. Then you've got to remove the screen to get at the window. This isn't absolutely a dealbreaker, but it's an annoying inconvenience. So it works as advertised, and it's better than no screen at all. But it's inconvenient, if you need to get at your window.

Measure every items in the package to verify before starting - not an easy project.
I ordered 2 of the 44”x48” for my 4ft (48”)tall x 3 ft (36”) wide windows. I pre-cut the adhesive-magnetic strips, the grooved-magnetic strips and the PVC strips before doing the mountings. Mounting the adhesive-magnetic strips and the grooved-magnetic strips around the windows was simple. When come to mounting the mesh, I discovered a major problem. The mesh measured 46”tall and 44”wide - 2” too short for the height!!!! I went ahead to finish this window by using the 4” wide adhesive mesh repair strips that I have to extend the length; that worked out ok. Other problems: The magnet strength of both strips are not strong, barely hold together. Attaching the PVC strips to clamp the mesh to the grooved magnetic strips was a challenge, bending up the PVC strip while pressing it onto the grooved strip help a little bit, my thumb hurt afterward and also at few areas along the strips, it was impossible to attach. The final part was to attach the angle brackets to each corner, that took some manipulation, there was no instruction on how to do that; I got them on, but they didn’t seem securely attached. Took me 2 hours to do this window, I’m not hopeful that this mesh will last. Now I have to return the other one, since all my windows are 48” tall. This item claimed it’s for up to 48” x 44” size window, that’s a false statement! If I had known the measurements of the mesh were incorrect before I cut the strips of the first one, I would return both for full refund. I want compensation for the one that I couldn’t returned because it’s already installed by patching the length.that I had bought previously from Amazon to do repairs.

Straight forward, easy, does the job well!
I have an antique gate/exterior door gifted to me that I decided to restore, but when I got it from the previous owners all of the removable screen panels were gone and some of the hardware to hold them in place were broken. Rather than go on a hunt or pay for custom replacements, I opted to try this.Install took me about 2 hours, I used 2 kits for the whole door, and I got the gray color so it wasn't such a stark contrast. So far I'm pretty happy! 😊I found that having a small rubber mallot on hand was useful, but use it gently and judiciously. Also, I started out lining everything up/cutting to the millimeter, then trimming things back here and there because the design of these pieces needs just a little wiggle room, so don't drive yourself insane. I also waited to cut the screening until after it was installed in place with a box cuter, it made it easier to pull out taught and line it up, though there is extra fabric weight to account for on the front end. I also found for the last step of framing (the pieces that hold the screening on), it was best to do the sides starting at the bottom, then upwards. To get to this point with this door has been just over a year, hunting down antique replacement knobs and other parts for it has been a trip, so it was really nice to be able to get one thing done quickly and relatively easily.
