Upon opening the box, I was pleasantly surprised about a few things. First, I ordered the burgundy color, and I was afraid, based on the Amazon pics, that the shoes would be darker than I wanted; this wasn't the case, the shoes were slightly more red than I thought they would be, while still being more subdued than flashy. Also, I liked the fact that they had a more streamlined, long, narrow, and more pointy look; the Amazon pics made the shoes look more wide and squarish. As far as fit, thanks to the other reviews, I decided to go up half a size, and boy was that helpful, as the shoe starts to taper more narrow towards the point of the toe. These shoes are designed to look more long and pointy. I normally wear a size 10/2E (wide) in running shoes, so I selected a 10.5/Wide in these shoes, and they ended up being comfortably snug. I could have probably even gone up to an 11, but 10.5 makes me feel like I'm true to my normal size. I couldn't image trying to force my foot into their non-wide size, as the material of the shoe doesn't have much stretch or give. If you have wide feet, be sure to select wide or else you won't be able to get your feet in them. Even in a wide size, you still have to loosen the laces a fair bit to get your foot in. I will be wearing them to 2 upcoming weddings, and they go great with my navy blue suit! Remember to choose wide if you have a wide foot, and a half to a full size up in length. The shoes are not sized to account for the narrow toe design.

Hey...I was really happy when my shoes showed up at the door and were exactly what I ordered! I was also totally stoked when they fit perfectly--the size the AI bot suggested was exactly right! They are the best-looking shoes I have found for the price, and I wear them to church with my gray suit (I hope to get another colored suit I can wear these shoes with soon). The color is perfect oxblood and is formal enough for just about any occasion, though I would probably wear black to a funeral. They looked and fit so nicely that I purchased another similar pair (lighter color--slightly different style), and when they showed up they were just as great as my oxbloods--fit perfectly and an awesome value! I had to get a bit of a wardrobe makeover for a wedding, and that required me to get some brown shoes. These shoes were delightfully comfortable as I stood on my feet for most of the day. The insoles have memory foam in them. Like all dress shoes, you will need to be careful about scuffs and scratches with the former coming out easily with a little buffing. Goodness, they look sharp! I had several people come up to me and say how awesome the shoes looked.

Shoes looks good in person however it runs large. I usually wear 8 1/2M, a 1/2 size down would have fit perfectly

Love the look of the shoe. I purchased a 14 wide which is generally the size I wear. The shoe is very long with a slightly pointed toe. I think the wide fits like a regular width. I will be keeping them and try to have them stretched.
