Love it!
I have been using this for years. I mix with unsweetened coconut milk and add a tablespoon of dark cocoa powder, blend it with ice in my bullet and it's delicious! Sometimes I even add a banana.I have dairy and soy sensitivies so glad my doctor told me about Thorne. I have this every morning for breakfast!

The new formula isn't NEARLY as bad as everyone says.
Ok, I was a little alarmed too, when they did away with MediPro Vegan Chocolate, horrified actually. I used that stuff almost every other day in conjunction with workout routines, and basic lunchtime meal. Not long ago Thorne decided to kill Medipro and create this line. Honestly, I don't know what all the fuss is about. Sure, it's not exactly the same, but I SURE AS HELL like it better than ANY other product of it's kind, and I feel like I've tried them all. I utilize this product in a smoothie, along with blueberries, maca, cacao, and a few other things. Just for sh1ts and giggles one day I tried it solo to see what all the fuss was about. It was FINE. I found it to be rich and smooth when used as directed (2 scoops mixed with water or almond milk).I'm still not 100% sure why they killed the other one, maybe Thorne can chime in here? I did do a comparison of the products and there seems to be a much higher concentration of all of the things they put into MediPro. That might be whats skewing the taste a bit. But again, sure it does taste different, but for me, certainly not in a bad way.

It has a very slimy, inconsistent texture
I used the precursor to this version when Thorne was owned and marketed by the previous owner. It was not identical to this product but very close and covered more needs. That was a great product. This is dreadful. It tastes fine but leaves many slimy chunks in it even after you've mixed it very well. I think you could mix it all day and still have slimy threads and clumps in nearly every sip.I've used its precursor for several years because of the purity of Thorne, which I needed, but I'll have to find a replacement. When you're drinking and suddenly you feel like there are worms or mold or something in your drink, the nutritional value kind of goes out the door. With the previous version I could add fiber, powdered vegetables, etc., to the drink with no problem. With this version even adding water only produces a consistently unacceptable result. Also the size of the tub is about a third of the size of the previous version, which was really large but only cost about $10 more. I'd guess there is only enough for 10 "meals" in the new tub. That makes the cost increase here substantial since it took forever to go through the previous version's tub. But Thorne's new marketing people have promised the company a much higher profit. They definitely accomplished that goal.

I prefer Vanilla, but wanted a change
I love Thorne products and I have been using them for years. I tried the chocolate, but I generally prefer vanilla. It was drinkable. I have tried other vitamin powders, but Thorne has the best one, in my opinion. The Vanilla is a staple in my house, but I just bought the Mediclear and Iām going to give it a try. I hate taking pills and these products are the only way I get adequate nutrition., so I am very grateful!!
