Overall good quality and very practical
I like how compact this knife is for use as a neck knife or EDC pocket knife. The BK-13 Remora is extrem ely lightweight and compact. I love the blade profile. I was not entirely impressed with the edge on the blade although it was sharp. The finish was good but not great. Olean, NY USA is printed on the side of the blade! The hollow grind will be useful when I put a nicer edge on the blade. The skeletonized grip is reasonably comfortable however I desire more purchase on the grip which is unfortunately very small and too smooth. I wish there was jimping on the top of the grip and spine of the blade. I am extremely impressed with the sheath. The knife retention in the sheath is remarkable. The sheath is smooth and very compact for perfect neck carry. I almost forget I am wearing this knife around my neck it is so comfortable. This is a fantastic option for a EDC or neck knife especially due to the compact lightweight sheath. Overall I would say this is a relatively high quality last ditch fixed blade knife.

Awesome knife!
I received my knife in a timely manner and it is everything I hoped for. I usually like high carbon steel knives and this one is stainless steel (which it was listed as and what I expected) which is great because I wanted this to use as a neck knife and don't want it to rust if I sweat on it. Even though it is stainless steel it is still very sharp. The sheath it came with is just a cheap China plastic sheath but it seems durable and had great retention. The knife definitely won't fall out even though I carry it hanging upside down all day. It never comes loose at all. The knife itself is made in the good 'ol USA. This knife is small but still big enough to be usable and it lays very flat and out of the way. It came with a very cheap and useless 3 inch piece of cord which I immediately tossed in the trash but, I made a nice necklace for it out of 550 paracord which was my intent all along. This knife is perfect for a neck knife or just as a back up that you can toss in a backpack or in your pocket. If you are looking for a small reliable knife then I definitely recommend this one.

Small, light at nice design, but hard to sharpen
I ordered this US made Becker Knife to compliment one of its bigger brothers that has the sheath built in its sheath for this knife to ride in. The knife is small and light and comes with a polymer scabbard that is secure enough you could wear it as a neck knife if so desired. The blade design itself is also great. The blade is thick enough at the back to see some heavier use. The drop point has enough belly to be used to for skinning and the point is "pointy" enough to do some lipping and turning the ears when dressing out a trophy buck. The skeletonized handle has two large cutouts and three holes to let you cord wrap it or set it up as a spear head if one desires. overall the knife is a good companion to the larger knife and can do smaller tasks that the larger knife is too unwieldy for or saves its edge for when it is really needed. On the negative side my knife came with a few freckles of rust, but to be honest I though, hey that is fine that means there must be enough carbon in it to sharpen easily. Unfortunately that was not the case. The knife wasn't too sharp when it arrived and the steel doesn't really take that impressive of an edge. I was hoping for a little better steel for the price, but oh well. I would not spend more than $17 for what this knife is, but I won't be sending it back. I threw this one in a survival kit and called it good. The blade on a Leatherman tool gets sharper and stays sharp longer on a paper test using a gourmet crocksticks set for comparison.

Near Perfect Keychain Knife for Knife Newbies
This knife was my first small fixed blade knife, and as such, my first EDC. I never liked to carry folders, as they had a tendency to slip from my pocket. The folders with a pocket clip were better, but seemed unnecessarily large and bulky. This, when attached to a keychain, was always handy. I have since replaced it with an ESEE Izula (also a GREAT keychain knife). The Remora seems to get less respect than it deserves. For some reason people always compare it to the Becker Necker or the Izula or XYZ neck knife. Compared to these, the Remora seems a bit smallish. I argue that its diminutive size is its best trait. Give a non-knife person a Becker Necker, and watch as the Becker Necker collects lint in the back of a sock drawer. Give the same person a Remora, along with the keychain recommendation, and watch as the non-knife person discovers the utility of having a knife available at all times. Besides, compared with a Victorinox Recruit, for example, the blade is pretty burly. Compared with the best selling knife of all time, the Victorinox Classic, the Remora starts to resemble a crowbar. There are faults, however. The sheath is much maligned. It does look and feel a bit cheap (though it is extremely low profile, unlike the ESEE Izula, and especially unlike the Becker Necker and the BRKT Bravo Necker). The steel is 440A, which usually means relatively poor edge-holding abilities, though I have not noticed any difference in this regard between the Remora and my 1095 Izula. My biggest complaint is the design oh the handle. . . it's fine for occasional use, but not very comfortable beyond that.Summary: This knife is best compared with folding pocket knives rather than with larger fixed blades, and it works extremely well when attached to a keychain and used within reason.

Nice companion to the bk 9
This is a nice little knife, not much to go wrong as its a solid price of steel shaped like a knife. Seems to sharpen up nice with ceramic rods. Used this little knife to do some basic chores and it handles nice due to the belly curve. Handle size is ok for small cutting chores and I can see this knife working well for tasks that the bk 9 would have problems performing. I will not be replacing my d2 dozier general bushcraft / duty knife with this knife but as a bk 9 or 7 companion it works as intended. As a side note I have a crkt minimalist and this knife seems to hold an edge better. The sheath for this knife is junk so if you are planing to wear this as a neck knife don't waste your money and buy a different knife.

Very Nice Addition.
Received this knife yesterday. It's the new American made 1095 Chromium Vanadium steel version, so I'm sure the blade durability will be significantly improved over the older 440A stainless steel version. Razor sharp, I was actually able to trim stubble with it, but because it's so tiny, it's not really the comfortable tool to handle. Nature of its design and that's completely understandable. It went into the sheath beside my BK9 and will compliment it perfectly when intricate work is required in place of full on demolition. Four stars because the price is on the high side for such a small, yet obviously high quality blade.Update: I've been using the knife for a year now and absolutely love it. Wear it around my neck with a length of paracord tied with a "break away" knot. I've used it for anything from opening boxes to carving to stripping electrical wire to using the spine as a makeshift screwdriver. It's taken a beating, but a quick touch up with the sharpening stones gets it back to a razors edge (1095 CroVan is very easy to sharpen). The small knife and tiny sheath make it completely unobtrusive, safe and comfortable to wear. Ordered a second one as a gift.
