Funny book. Good quality.
This was a gift for my son- mostly as a joke - he found it quite humorous.

Very simple
I bought this book for my 2 1/2 year old son when we were potty training and really liked how simple it was! I have since bought other books in the Liam series and think they are all great for explaining things to very small children in a simple and direct way. Even though my son has been trained for six months now he often asks me to read him this book while he's on the loo, and it was useful to remind him of the basics during a set back.

Great little book!
My 2 year old decided she wanted to start using the potty and all was fine, until she went for a week without a poo. I was really worried about her but didn't want to make too big a fuss out of it. Looked online and found this book and thought i'd give it a try. Let's be clear, this is not a magic pill. Your little one won't read it and go, oh yes i totally get it, let's poo! In the potty! hell, let's poo in the toilet and make mommy really happy! But, it's absolutely brilliant at explaining about that funny feeling in your tummy which means you need to poo. It shows how Liam relaxes then pushes. I swear, I sat on the floor with my little one, while she sat on her potty and read this book to her about 12 times in a row. She loved it. And a few days later she was on the toilet, I knew she needed to poo, and I told her, 'remember what Liam does when he needs to poo? You just relax and you push.' It was like a little light went on in her head and she did exactly that. We're four months down the line now and all is fine with the pooping, thank goodness. It's deceptively simple - the illustrations and story but it's perfect for little ones. If you're having poo problems, give this book a go. It's definitely worth it.

Not worth the money
I bought this book to help my son learn to poo in the potty. He is 90% potty trained, but still has trouble with going poop. We already have the Alona Frankel potty training book so I was looking for something strictly on the subject of going poop. I thought this one would be different from the Alona Frankel one because it said it offered picture of how to relax and push. But I was highly disappointed with what I actually received. It just had a drawing of Liam sitting on the toilet smiling with the sentence "relax and push" but it wasn't as helpful as it first advertised. I suggest if you're looking for a book on getting your child comfortable with pooping in the potty, try "Everyone Poops" by Taro Gomi. I haven't read this book yet, but it came highly recommended over this one.
