PENGUIN Run, Rebel

This story caught me from the hard-hitting first page. It's a beautiful story of women and girls coming together to overcome oppression. It is more nuanced than some YA. Bullies are shown as a product of their own life history and pain. It had me laughing and crying in equal measure. Highly recommended. Should be stocked in ALL secondary school libraries.

Run, Rebel is an incredible debut book by Manjeet. I couldn't put it down. This book is in verse, and it is stunning, heartbreaking and a must read for all. Its impact will stay with me for a long time. I can't wait for the next book from Manjeet Mann.

An amazing book, never read anything like it. Such impact. Literally did not put it down. This is a book that should be read by adults as well as teenagers.
