Very functional & attractive
This keeps the sun off of all of my neck which I appreciate. It's attractive and I'm glad I purchased it.

Great hat!
I bought this hat 2 years ago and I absolutely love it! The strap keeps it on if it’s windy outside. It keeps the sun off my face, ears and neck. It’s lightweight and feels cool. It’s made of great material. It still looks new to me after 2 years of wearing it. Love it! I wear it a lot!

Well made, but no cooling effect
Since this sun hat is made entirely of the kind of tight-weave nylon fabric used for windbreakers, not a breath of air gets through the neck-protection scarf. This can feel uncomfortably warm and close on a hot, still summer day. My old sun-hat-with-neck-protection (iHomey, ordered in 2017) had two flaws (plastic stays always poking out of the brim; lack of a chin strap), but its light, airy neck-protection scarf seemed to catch the slightest breeze and had a welcome cooling effect. My ideal hat would be a hybrid: this new hat, but with a scarf made of that nice cooling fabric from my old hat.Another thing: I ordered the purple hat, which in the pix looks like a very pastel, neutral color. The actual color turns out to be way more saturated: not dark, but definitely a medium purple, and therefore less neutral than I was expecting.

Really cheap fabric completely ruins design purpose
The fabric is SO cheap that sun rays/light actually come through the brim! Ruins what is overall a decent design and the whole sun protection purpose of the hat. The part that snaps at your neck and under chin to supposedly “protect” your neck is even worse, about as thin and see through as you can get (like chiffon). It’s SO thin that it will undoubtedly rip at the snap area if I didn’t use my fingernail to separate the snap (instead of just regular pull on the fabric to unsnap it). An example of penny wise and pound foolish! If they would use quality fabric, they would probably get a better following. But I suppose by the time people have figured it out that not worth the money, they’ve already bought it.Too bad, I am searching again or will steal this design and modify a real baseball cap on my own.
