Absolutely Brilliant!
We have been in desperate need of a new tea kettle for a long time so I finally took the time to go over a lot of the different options on Amazon and ultimately wound up going with Willow & Everett's Surgical Whistling Tea Kettle. First and foremost, I loved the overall look and design. Its got a very sleek design with a very easy to access lever to open the spout and pour the water. I also really liked how it has a large top you can pull off so you can fill the tea kettle with water. Our old tea kettle, you actually had to pour the water into the spout that you wind up pouring the water back out of. I usually wound up getting at least some water on the sides of the kettle due to have to filling it in that manner. You will have no such problem with this tea kettle as the opening when you pull off the lid is roughly 3" in diameter. You definitely won't be spilling any water on the outside of this kettle.I also really like that the handle and spout lever are both coated in a non-slip, soft silicone that makes it comfortable to handle and protects your hand from the heat. It does still get a bit hot, but if you leave the kettle for like 60 seconds after you turn off the heat, the silicone handle cools off enough to pick it up with your bare hands without any discomfort. The handle on our last tea kettle got so hot I actually had to use a flour towel to grip the kettle handle and pour the water. So this was definitely one of the key design elements I was looking for with a new kettle. One of the more unique aspects of this kettle is the bottom as its made up of five layers of premium grade stainless steel, iron, and aluminum formed into a capsule style bottom that heats up quickly and evenly. You will be blown away at how fast the water at the very bottom of the kettle starts boiling. The way they have designed the bottom, with its 5 layers, winds up creating a very unique sound when the water starts to boil at the bottom of the kettle and amazingly, it only takes like 5-10 seconds before you start to hear that sound. Basically, the 5 layer bottom dramatically increases the speed in which the water comes to a boil. I would estimate the water with this kettle boils in half the time it used to take with our old kettle. And you can just feel the quality of this kettle just by picking it up. Its got a nice solid weight and its made with premium materials. I expect this kettle will last a VERY long time if properly taken care of. It also has a pretty unique sounding whistle once the water starts boiling. While the sound of the whistle is really not that big of an issue, its still a nice little bonus. Most importantly, there are no toxic materials used with this kettle. Its 100% Teflon free, BPA free and is made strictly of high quality stainless steel, iron and aluminum. They offer a 90 day 100% money back return policy if your not 100% satisfied with your purchase so you really don't have anything to lose by trying this kettle out. If you wind up deciding its just not for you, all you have to do is return it and you get a full refund. I love products that have those kinds of guarantee's as you usually only see those kind of money back guarantee's on very high quality products and that is definitely the case here. This kettle also includes a premium tea infuser for loose leaf tea that you can drop right into your tea cup/glass. I already had a nice loose leaf tea infuser, but it was still nice getting an extra one with this kettle as now I can do 2 cups at once using loose leaf tea as opposed to doing one cup at a time. The kettle itself weighs around 6.5 pounds and can hold 3 liters of water, which is plenty of water to make quite a few cups of tea. This kettle is also rust resistant and has a stainless mirror finish that is very easy to keep nice and shiny. It goes perfect in our kitchen as stainless steel is really one of the main accent's to our kitchen. Our refrigerator, stove, and fan above the stove all have a stainless steel finish and some of the other items in our kitchen that have a stainless steel style include our Kitchen Aid Blender, our Kitchen Aid Mixer, our knife set holder, our bread box, our Breville juicer, and we also use the stainless steel style Pop storage containers. So this tea kettle really fits perfectly with the overall design of our kitchen. Out of everything, the most impressing aspect of this kettle is without question the 5 layer bottom. Again, it winds up boiling water SUPER fast. Literally within 5-7 seconds you will start to hear the very unique sound this kettle puts out when the water at the very bottom of the kettle starts boiling. The 5 layer bottom just does an amazing job at transferring heat and another thing that is really great is just how wide the bottom of the kettle is. Our stove has 3 regular sized burners and one extra large size burner in the front. It creates a flame that is significantly larger in diameter than the other burners. That larger burner is perfect for the larger sized bottom of this kettle which makes the water come to a boil just that much faster. You really will be amazed at how fast the bottom layer of water in the kettle starts boiling. Again, it only takes like 5-10 seconds at most before you start hearing that very unique sound when the water at the bottom of the kettle starts boiling.Bottom line - Willow & Everett's Surgical Whistling Tea Kettle is just an amazing tea kettle. It has a beautiful design, is built from safe high quality materials, has a nice quality weight, is super comfortable to hold and extremely easy to fill up and pour. And most importantly, it boils water just super fast. Again, the unique 5 layer bottom gives a very distinct sound when the water at the bottom of the kettle starts boiling and amazingly, that only takes 10-15 seconds tops. And the loose leaf tea infuser is a nice little bonus, even if you already own one. I actually spent a decent amount of time viewing a LOT of the various tea kettles being sold on Amazon and I was very close to buying a couple of other models before I stumbled on this one. I am very thankful that didn't happen as Willow & Everett's tea kettle really has everything I was looking for in a tea kettle and then some. And best of all, it has a very reasonable price, which just makes it that much easier of a purchase. After using this kettle just once, I tossed my old kettle in a box that we take to the Salvation Army every couple months. If there is one thing I have learned over the years regarding cooking or making things in the kitchen, its that the higher the quality of the various appliances and equipment/utensils that you use, the more enjoyable it becomes. This is one of the nicest tea kettles I have seen to date and I have definitely enjoyed making my daily tea a bit more since upgrading to this kettle. If your looking for a high quality tea kettle then look no further!5 Stars!

Amazing Customer Service! And some important ADVICE!
THIS IS AN EDITED REVIEW:ADDENDUM (Jan 9, 2019)See below for initial review and follow up re customer service.Piece of Advice: The teakettle has several screws, two for the handle and one for the top. With use of the kettle, the two screws for the handle became loosened. I’ve tightened them 2 or 3 times. Which makes the handle more secure. Can’t recall if I did so with the top. But it can be done.As for the “rusting” some customers claim to have experience, I can say that, over 5 months, using this nearly every day, I can see no rust whatsoever. (This is with the replacement they sent me after the problem below.)I remain pretty satisfied with the kettle. It doesn’t heat as quickly as I might wish for. But I’m retired. And I can find a few things to do while it heats. It’s a pretty good deal, looks nice, and mine has remained in excellent condition. (Husband now tends to heat his water for tea in a heavy large mug in the microwave. Or uses kettle when water is already hot!)See below for initial review and customer service experience:***************************************************INITIAL REVIEW:I ordered this after my husband ruined a non-whistling tea kettle. My "orders" tell me this arrived on July 20. It was first tried on the 21st. It never really whistled very much to start with. He started to make tea, I was taking a nap, and the darn tea kettle never whistled! Instead, the smoke alarm went off, waking me up. (He was in the next room. But heard nothing! We're in a retirement community, so have only 3 rooms. No one heard a whistle!)The kettle looks lovely. Heats fast. Obviously I ordered this because it supposedly has a loud whistle. Now what? Our 50th Anniversary is next month, so too late to "return" husband. This so annoying! Of course I didn't save the packaging, not thinking this one would boil dry. And I needed that nap too...CUSTOMER SERVICE Addendum:You can see from the comments here that the Seller contacted me immediately. And I can verify that they did everything they offered to rectify the problem. I commend them for excellent customer service! Much appreciated.Regarding the whistle, it starts out soft and then becomes shrill - hitting a very, very high note - one which is perhaps not the best for an elderly person. (As the older you get, the more you lose hearing in the high registers.) I would also add that since this kettle is quite heavy, and it's balance in the hand is a bit "off" it can be difficult for an elderly person to hold and pour when hot. Not impossible. But heavy when pouring slowly over tea leaves into a teapot.Nevertheless, I commend the sellers! You can trust their customer service. And they stand behind their product.

Good quality!
The media could not be loaded. It's a great tea kettle. It's got some weight to it, like kettles used to have. We are very happy with the quality of this product. It also looks pretty! The whistle is fairly loud, and not quite as high pitched as it sounds in the video.

All started out so good
We liked the classic design of the water kettle, and the larger base promised more heating area. Unfortunately, the kettle's whistle requires too much pressure to build up before it starts making a sound, and the sound itself is not very loud. By the time the whistle finally sounds, the handle can become too hot to touch because the lid allows too much steam to escape, which heats up the handle. This morning, I burned my finger on the pull-up handle that lifts the whistle for pouring the water. The little silicone sheath that was supposed to protect it was gone. Additionally, the tea infuser that comes with the kettle is useless because it’s too small to allow even a single cup’s worth of tea leaves to expand properly. Unfortunately, our return window has closed.
