Exactly what was needed to create new hatch seals.

Perhaps this was an unusual use, but I used this to replace the foam gasket on a vacuum food sealer. Apparently the food sealer foam gasket compresses over time and does not seal well. So you end up pushing and holding for a long time, waiting for the sealer light to come on indicating you can let go...but it never does. I was looking at it, and thinking "How much you want to bet these foam gaskets are not sealing tight enough?"The foam gasket was a little thinner than this rubber seal, but this rubber seal is more "compressable". I pulled out one of the foam gaskets on the food sealer, cut some of this rubber seal to length, and pressed it into just one side of the food sealer. I only did one side because I had to kind of press it into the groove, and you could see it definitely had a higher profile than the original foam gasket.I cut a section of food sealer bag from the roll, and put it into the food sealer. I did not have to press and hold for very long before the food sealer LED came on indicating I could let go. Fixed!We will see how well it holds up over time, but I probably only used 18 inches of this stuff. So I got plenty of replacements. I may look into figuring out a way to "glue" this round stock into the square groove. The groove of the food sealer has tiny "retaining bumps", so it is kind of held in there. I feel like it could easily be popped out of the groove by dragging something sticky across the tube, and end up pulling the "oversized tube gasket" (best way to describe it) out of the groove.

Excellent quality backer rod. The rubber composition will provide the protection from water infiltration that other materials haven't.

This saved me a huge headache. My coupe’s window was whistling and driving me crazy. This stuff fit PEFECT in the weather strip and closed the gap ever so slightly tighter on my window and completely rid my car of the plague of whistling wind noise coming through my window!

I bought this to fill the gap between body and fenders on my Jeep Wrangler. They install easily and do a great job. But after just a few weeks I have lost the front two. We tow the Jeep behind a RV and I suspect the wind turbulence worked them out. I suggest using a few dabs of super glue to help hold them in place, especially on the ends. I would have gave them 5 stars if they stayed in place.

It does the job for my wrangler space but it does start coming out after some time so I constantly have to fix it

I. Ought this to use between my jeeps body and the fenders. It is the fix I was looking for. No more wedged rocks. It holds and does not move or wriggle out. Try it out.

The cord is a seal for portholes on the SS Keewatin. It replace the leaky seals with a perfect fit.
