I purchased it after my puppy's doc said that he needed a ear wash and that I could do it at home...after reading handed of reviews I decided for this one and the product is great, the only reason for my 4 stars is the color of the product, it's a yellowish color that will definitely be visible on your dogs coat if it is white, that's why I only wash his ears right before I bathe him weekly. Other than that the product is great and smell really nice (it's a shame that I have to bathe him after using it, I like the small of it way better than his shampoo).P.S.: Just a tip for beginners...I watched many youtube videos to make sure I would do it correctly and every single video that I watched showed me dogs that would be very relaxed and still when getting the liquid inside of the ears and since my baby boy love when I rub his ears I thought it would be a breeze...I showed him the bottle, he smelled it I actually put it near his ears, everything looked great BUT....As soon as he felt the liquid going inside he freaked out, biting screaming and I couldn't do it properly in the first 3 attempts. I needed my husband's help to hold him for me (I'm talking about a 7 pounds dog!). Get someone else to help you, your dog might be very calm and take it nicely but if he don't, you won't be able to do it by yourself!

My tiny rescue kitty has perpetual dirty ears. I used a prescription ear cleaner for years. When I ran out, I purchased this product and it works equally well with more natural ingredients.The packaging description says it may be messy. They were right. To prevent a spray of oily liquid flying through the air as my cat shakes her head, I keep a tissue handy. After massaging the liquid into her ears for the recommended 30 seconds, I then wipe each ear with a tissue to absorb much of the excess cleaner. There is still a little mess when she shakes her head, but not bad at all.Extra tip: you can also apply the ear cleaner outside or in the shower/bath tub (with the curtain closed). That way when your pet shakes her head the spray does not need to be cleaned up.

This is the only dog ear product I found on Amazon that can claim natural ingredients.My dog ready had an infection flaring up, as she is prone to skin allergies and ear infections(dogo argentino). This did a great job in Cleaning out the goo and reducing irritation. The product does not claim to work on infections, so I am not reviewing in that. I am using ZYMOX now and transitioning to BARF diet and adding Biostar K9 Senior Optimum supplement. I will be purchasing another bottle of this BotaniVet ear cleaner for maintemace.I'm regards to the comments on the smell, it does smell fruity, and I can see how it may be questionable if it isn't fragrance. I can also see how it could be a combination of essential oils that happen to smell fruity in that combination. It isn't very strong and I don't use scents in my home, so I am pretty sensitive to fragrances.I hope it's the latter, becuase it's a good product overall.

I can't recommend this ear cleaner enough! I have a cat that had a hematoma in one of this ears that has healed into a big hard lump, closing his ear off to any air. It gets very black and waxy in that one ear, and I have to clean his ears every other day. I have tried a few different ear cleaners, but BotaniVet is definitely my favorite. It doesn't dry his ear skin out, the smell is nice and not overpowering and it is very gentle, yet highly effective. I don't squirt it in his ear, but put it on cotton balls and swabs and use it that way, making sure his ear is completely dry at the end (since his inner ear doesn't get much or any air flow). I can't recommend this ear cleaner enough and one bottle of this lasts me over a year, so a little goes a long way!

We’ve used this ear cleaner for awhile now on our pups. It has a great smell to it but it’s not overwhelming perfume-y at all. It’s really gentle on their ears, we noticed in the dogs’ behaviour with the medicated vet prescribed verses this brand. It matters to me as this isn’t a favourite dog activity, lol. It does it’s job with ease as well, cleaning out all the gunk!

I've been using this to clean my cats' ears for a few months now and I have to say I think it is a very good product. The last cleaner we used seemed to irritate my cats' ears as they would scratch furiously after cleaning but they don't do that anymore with this product. Since my cats hate getting their ears cleaned, I wrap them in a towel and have someone hold them down while I pour in some cleaner. I rub it for at least 30 seconds or more if I can before letting them go to shake their heads. I wipe any excess liquid and wax afterwards. It works very well at clearing out the wax and smells quite pleasant. The ingredients look good and natural. I use it often since one of my cats has problems with wax buildup and I would definitely buy it again when I run out.

Amazing smell for days after. I just got this for my 8 month old Shiba Inu because her ears started to smell a little funky. The scent is very strong, but very clean and natural. Her ears have smelled clean for a week so far, after only one use.I notice she doesn’t put her paws on her ears as much either. So I’m assuming it helped with summer inner ear wax that is hard to reach without a liquid.

This is a great purchase. It smell beautiful, like oranges and vanilla and blossoms. Super easy to use and my dog loves it. We give it to him, he tries to lick his ear and ends up just running around in circles until he falls down. Great product. Totally recommend
