Parker Brothers Vintage Game Collection Wooden Book Box Clue

Clue hasn't looked this good since it first came out in 1948. This is a vintage edition which comes in a handsome wooden box that would be a nice addition to any bookshelf. The game board conveniently folds out and is of very good quality with metal game pieces, except for a plastic rope. All the characters are there from Professor Plum to Miss Scarlett, all you have to do is solve the crime. The beauty of Clue is that it is a relatively fast paced game, which is great fun for young and old alike.

I wanted the older Clue game with the character Capt. Peacock. Instead I found the character “Mrs. Peacock”. Not quite the same!Still the board game is still fun and we are enjoying it.

This set was a gift for my 7 year old granddaughter ... and her MOM! This game bridges so many generations and we all have our own bit of nostalgia associated with it ... this edition was for her mother's benefit; the game itself was for introducing it to this next generation. It is a wonderful set and I recommend it for everyone ... definitely for keeping and passing down!

I was very disappointed when I opened my package and did not find the Clue set that is pictured above. Instead, I found the set with the purple front with a straight "spine". The main difference: about $20. So don't buy this game from them if you're expecting the one pictured. Go somewhere else and buy it for half the price. I did receive a refund on my purchase, but I was really hoping for the curved spine which I haven't been able to find anywhere. I was willing to pay the extra $20 to have the curved spine because it would have matched my Risk game and it must be a rare item now.Bottom line: chech the prices of the other sellers first before buying this one.

Fun to play with all family members young and older

I began collecting this set when my mom bought me the monopoly version. The wooden book looks great on the shelf, and each addtion is of high quality. This one did not disappoint.

My kids (ages 9 and 10) loved the game. Unlike Classics Monopoly or Risk this can be played in 30 minutes or so, and you may even get a few games in before everyone has had enough. Classic pieces and characters are funny without being distracting. This game is especially good for kids who don't like the competition of most games, as it is more a problem solving game.
