Hot handle
The handle also gets very hot even though it says it’s heat resistant, it’s not!

OK,
It's attractive. The whistle isn't very loud, and pushing the lever to open the spot is a bit hard.

Plastic parts on a kettle for your stove? Bad design!!
The first time I got this teapot, it had a dent in it and I returned it. The second one had an odd finish to it, instead of being completely smooth and shiny, it had places where it looked like it had been cleaned with steel wool. But it seemed functional so I didn't return it a second time. I've had it about a month and now realized that the pour spout has a plastic cover on it, which is now starting to melt from the heat of being on the stove. Poorly designed. Don't buy unless you just want something pretty to sit on your stove.

It’s hard to open the spout
I have to press hard to open the spout and continuing pressing hard to pour the water. this hurts my thumb a lot. this is not a tea kettle for people with arthritis or fibromyalgiait’s a poor design to have to press so hard. I don’t recommend it unless you have tough fingers. it is a nice looking tea kettle so it’s a shame.
