4.9 inches Mini Heat Powered Stove Fan for Small Space Wood/Log Burner/Fireplace(Silver)

The fan definitely gets 5 stars for the wow factor. it looks cool, somewhat steampunkish sitting atop my wood burning stove, and as several others stated, spins almost from the moment the stove starts getting warm. As the surface gets hotter, the fan speeds up considerably. At top speed, the fan moves something like 120CFM (cubic foot per minute) of air. This compares to most table top fans moving 500 or more CFM, and gas fireplace fans that typically are around 150CFM. Even at this small size, I noticed a difference in warming over no fan use. Even though the blade spins pretty fast, a finger will not be injured if you touch the blade.It is astonishingly quiet. As I use it more, I will see if a rattle or click developes and update my posting.

This fan is a must have for small wood stoves. It does have some issues though. The steel stretches after awhile and it gets noisy, Take out the 2 screws and bed the motor with some fiberglass or high temp silicone. Just pack the bedding in the space between the round motor and the points in the housing. Would have been 5 stars if I wouldnt have had to bed the motor.

I have a woodstove inside of a eyelid shaped fireplace, so this tiny little guy was the only one that would fit. It runs it's little heart out, but due to the size it can't move a whole lot of air. It's built solid, makes very little noise and its cute.

This item is only meant for heating devices that have a broad flat surface for it to sit. We have a wall mounted ventless gas heater and although we had to get inventive in positioning the fan, once positioned, it works great

It definitely spins and is very quiet but doesn’t really move much air. Feels more like a novelty. It’s probably better than nothing but I would get a bigger one if I did it again.

Did get a very small bearing noise after a month, moves just enough air. I think you get what you pay for and this one is more than worth it’s cost

The media could not be loaded.  Cool little gadget using this for a gas fireplace. I specifically bought this one because of the size it fits above the fire box in the blower vent area. It spins slowly even when the fireplace is off. When the fireplace is on i have to believe its blowing full tilt. It doesnt move a ton of air but I would say it moves "enough" I would get two if you really wanted them to move some air or maybe get the double one if it fits. I would say this fan moves as much air as the electric fireplace fan moves when its set to 30/40 percent. The important thing here is that its silent I mean you have to put your ear to the vent to hear it at all its basically the sound of moving air. My normal fireplace electric fan sounds like a leaf blower and that is why I bought this.Update: It quickly became violently noisy and I had to toss it. Not worth the money for as long as it last.

These little fans are amazing! I recommend them to everyone with a wood burning stove. They really do help to distribute the heat! If you haven't bought them yet, DO IT!!!

A little loud but it’s great for circulating air

Good little fan but is quite small. I attached it to my big buddy heater to use in my ice fishing hut. Worked well even when the buddy was on low. Nice and quiet too. I think this fan would be too small to actually use on a wood stove in your house.

It was a gift for a friend who lives in New Brunswick Canada and needed it to spread warmth from her wood stove to the whole room. She said it works like a charm and so she is toasty warm. For some odd reason this fan stopped working for no reason 4 days ago. It is not worth the money and return date has passed. I am so disappointed. The seller has agreed to send a replacement even though the return date has passed. I sure hope this one works much longer and better than the 1st one. Notified seller of the problem and within 4 days a satisfactory solution was reached.

While it doesn't take much to get this guy whizzing away - completely silent, mind you - it's just too small to do much of anything. I bought it to fit inside my wood fired insert, which it just fits, but I'd probably need to buy three more to get any draft of air moving at all. Larger ones on friends wood stoves work well, but the fan blade size is what does the trick - basic physics I should have guessed at before I spent my money. Live and learn.
