One of the reviews said cheap well I say four pot hangers for under $20 works for me. They are made sturdy but you can adjust the with of the hangers with a gentle bend. They ARE rubber coated. I highly recommend for anyone especially for seniors who are stuck in apts because you feel like I have a garden now without all the work!

I wanted to hang my succulent on the deck railing but my deck "rail" is a 4X1 and this was not the right solution for that problem because these are designed to hang only on a fence or very thin rail, like maybe a wrought-iron rail. So, we'll keep them and use them another time on maybe a different "fence." They are nicely made and look really nice but be sure you understand that they are NOT made for a wide, wood-plank deck trim, only for a think wood fence.

I used 12" coco coir liners in these, and then planted herbs in them. I did have to fold/manipulate the liners in order to fit into the baskets in a reasonable way, but it worked out well. I hung two on each side of the level landing on the steps that lead from my kitchen to the backyard. The banister is made of thick vinyl railing which is wider than the hanging hooks on these baskets. I had to bend the hanging hooks until I could get them to hang over the railing properly. This project was easy enough to do, took about 30 minutes, (including planting), and now I have cooking herbs that smell and look fantastic right outside my kitchen door. For my little project, these were perfect.

I never ordered this piece of crap. This is so cheap, it was bent. I ordered the set of 3 black rail planters, I already had 3 & they are great. But this thing...really crappy.

Love the idea, so I’m making them work but they weren’t package very well, Wrapped in plastic nestled inside of each other, the one on the outside was broken when they arrived and unfortunately after a week one of the remaining three broke. I only had an 8 inch pot in it. Again love the ideas so I am making them work but they’re really not a good value.

Only reason I rated 4 stars was they were to small to hold my plants

Ordered the 4 pack of white. Size is not what I was expecting at all. Pretty pissed off.
